recommendations on cat/midpipe

I started another thread a little bit ago and got the input I wanted thanks to 9krpmrx8. I've decided I want the setup of a hi flow cat with a midpipe(I want to pass inspection). Not dual resonated though, I want it to be a bit more vocal.

With that being said, anyone have a favorite midpipe or hi flow cat (or a favorite combo)?

Not looking to spend a lot of $$, I understand like every mod with these cars gains aren't spectacular unless I get FI which isn't a plan right now. This is for minimal gains/sound.

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!

Thanks guys!

Since you wanna pass emissions... I;d say the RP supercat from rx7store. That should do you well. No resonator...only a cat. I had it with my greddy sp2, it was nice.

I am looking upgrade my whole exhaust as well but still get passed emissions. I heard there is a way around it though...

If I put on a race pipe in place of the cat, isn't there a piece available that pushes the 2nd O2 sensor out of the way of the direct air flow so it tricks the ecu into thinking there is still a cat? This way it wont throw a check engine light on.
My friend did this for his G35 and I was wondering if it was possible on an RX8.

If the piece exists, where would I find it?

yes. it's a cat back, which means it is behind the cat. it does not change or modify the cat. you will pass smog.
