RB or SR exhaust

I tried to order a RB exhaust kit and they told me that they wouldnt be able to ship anything until November. I was really impressed with the comments I have heard about the RB but I am kinda antsy about getting my car put together. My other option would be to order the SR Motorsports exhaust (I already ordered the SR intake). What kind of advice can you guys give me on this decision? Is the RB exhaust worth the wait?... or is the SR worth the extra cash?

haven't heard or seen the sr motorsports exhaust in action, but from a lot of people response racing beat is your best bet for an exhaust system Go to mazdatrix.com you can hear a sound clip of the exhaust.

Yeh, I saw all the videos and really liked what I saw, but just like you, I have never seen or heard any exhaust clips from SR. I am pretty much looking for someone who actually has seen this setup first hand so i can get their advice. I saw the video of the SR intake and that was one of the main reasons I purchased it.

You might want to call an RX8 store, or a Mazdatrix and see if they have any in stock. Sometimes they have a few that they purchased from Racing Beat that they have not sold yet. I really like my unit. I have also purchased quite a few SR Motorsports parts as well and it seems like it is top notch stuff too. I'm not sure how many people have gotten the SR Motorsports exhaust. Most people have either RB, Borla, Greddy or MazdaSpeed.

I saw the SR exhaust at Sevenstock, and I watched it drive by. Nice quality construction, but I think the RB had better looking welds. It was a loud car, but they had all their mods installed, so I could not tell if it was the intake, high flow CAT, or exhaust that was making all the noise. I also had the SR intake, that was my video by the way, and it is not that loud. I think the high flow CAT makes some good noise from those videos, but I do not know what the SR Catback only exhaust sounds like.

Thanks for the input... I really liked that video you made. That was the deciding factor for me ordering the SR intake. I'm going to order the SR CAT midpipe and just keep the stock exhaust for now.

Yeah, I miss it - sold it to Lacroft3 who loves it also. I have my eye on the Racing Beat intake.

If I were you, get the SR Midpipe and the RB exhaust. That is what I am doing. I have the RB exhaust, and will be buying the SR midpipe/CAT next. So, just the opposite of the order you are getting them. Then I will wait for Charles Hill to develope an affordable header. That should make my complete exhaust system.
