Rare exhausts!

Hi guys,

I have recently sold my Mazdaspeed V.2 exhaust off to a local owner and picked up a Greddy SE exhaust for the time being. I'm not sure if it's just me, but I was infatuated with nice exhaust systems even on my other cars. So I'm considering a few different exhausts (all of which would be direct orders from Japan) when the time comes:

- RE-Amemiya Super Dolphin Tail Rear Section & RE-Amemiya Super Dolphin Chamber:

I'm very aware of the cost on some of these systems. I've had quite similarly priced exhaust systems in the past on former cars in the past.

'04 S2000. I first started with HKS Hi-Power (hated it), then got Amuse R1 Extra Titan, and then finished with the J's Racing Circuit Muffler Ti Dual 70RS.

'93 Miata. I first bought the car with a BSP exhaust (chucked that into the trash), found a discontinued RSR Exmag GTII exhaust, and then finished with a Jet's Integral Kobe N1 exhaust.

So I've ordered a few in the past at above-the-normal prices than let's say a Turbo XS system (not knocking on them by the way). Some people are rim ******, I'm not. I guess I like exhausts

But let me know what else you can think of.

When I bought my Trust Power Extreme Ti exhaust, I had the same mentality as you. My list was the RE exhaust above and the Amuse and Trust exhausts as my choices. As for your list I would choose the RE exhaust I've seen it up close and drove a RX8 with it. It's a very amazing looking and sounding exhaust, I just went with mine because of the weight savings of titanium.

Yeah....titanium is awesome but just not fun to deal with when it breaks and it's time to re-weld!

Had that happen on the Amuse exhaust for the S2000.

Mine so far after 2 years has had no problems with breaking.

I also like the Revolution catch can/ washer setup, I bought one from top secret for my skyline and it was hell of a lot cheaper that what they want for that one for the rx8.

^^^

I know. I wonder if Revolution has even sold one. We should call them up and ask for a group buy discount of 80% off.

Exactly for that price I'll just buy the RE-Amemiya one and make it work on my LHD car.

Dolphin it is. I was thinking the same thing but I did like the flare towards the end. It was unique.....but maybe too unique - borderline goofy.

I have a quote on the RE Amemiya 3-tank unit for $400 shipped. Maybe I should jump on that considering the Mazsport cans were about the same in price and no other vendor has jumped on this piece of the market yet.

Where did you get the quote for the Re-Amemiya Tanks at? 400 shipped is a very good price.

I have a source in Japan.

He used to source parts for my Roadster. Lots of rare parts like Nakamae interior bits, Joyfast Yokohama bits, and more.

I'll PM you his information.

That was my main gripe with that exhaust. It looks great, but totally useless with the kind of drop that I run on my cars.
