Maybe it depends on the type of supercharger. From the pics of the Blitz unit, it looks like you can use whatever air intake you desire, but the Petit looks like there is piping int he way that would leave it useless. Not sure how the Hymee and Axial Flow would be.

Mine is supposed to arrive on Friday. Since this thread has been whipping me up in to a vertiable frenzy, I'm taking the day off to install it. I plan on doing a dyno in the morning, going home to install, and the returning to get the post-install dyno done. If my plan doesn't fall through, I'll post my results Friday night.

It would be nice to see a dyno run done after it has some time on it also. I'd swear my 8 gained a little more power in the week since I cleared the memory. Whether that would show on a dyno or not I don't know but something changed. Has anyone else experience this?

He drives an auto. The torque converter does some really strange stuff.

I filled my tank with 93 octane fuel on Sunday and have 190+ miles so far with a quarter tank left to go. I have NEVER had this type of mileage before. Usually I get aboyt 170 miles on 1 full tank. Very awsome mod. I am glad I waited for it. It is almost like a new car because it is breathing nicely all the way through now. The car feels so much more responsive and it gets up and goes so much easier now. The only other performance mod I am getting is the light weight flywheel. Then I think I will Dyno just to see what I have created.

on a side noe how do you like the super cat from Rp? i'm thinking of getting this to go with my REv8..and Revi (that i am getting next tuesday...damn slow ups).:D

The RP SuperCat is great. All that have heard it say they love the sound. If you wanted to purchase this product, I would say that it would be a great purchase.(politicaly correct). BTW, what is a REv8?

I might wait...and get a mid pipe and an exhuast to go with the intake....and install them at the same time to really get a boost! Who am I kidding...I can't wait for that and convincing the wife I need this $300 toy is hard enough let alone talking about spending about 1K.

I too would love to hear how it sounds AND see some fuel economy numbers put up. So far I avg 19.1mpg in my 8 in mainly city driving but if the intake could give me one more mpg, I could use it as a selling point with the wife...lol.

"Honey...I'm just trying to save us money, that's all" LOL
I just filled up again (4th tank after REVi) 274 miles 13.7 gallons. Once again just a little more than I expected for the same type of driving preREVi. At current gas prices this intake will pay for itself in about 40k miles

I went to Las Vegas this last weekend with the REVI intake intalled No AC windows down DSC/TCS turned off and driving 70 MPH I got 306 miles and filled up after with 13.4 gallons, but I can't say I was driving straight 70 all the way with out REV Beeping. I can't resist, cause I can feel more power, This intake is great. I am happy with it. I will have to try testing it out again with out any fast driving, but it is very difficult. I will tell you this, it feels like I just bought the car all over again, and I have to relearn the feel of it.

LOL... thats true, Ya I picked mine up from racingbeat and no instructions, but its cool cause they mailed me some. We did open the box there, but there was all that peenut crap in the box, cause it was ready for shipping (I did not want to make a mess). Note to self when it comes to instructions make a mess. :D

No, it can't. Physically the rear of the box would have to be modded as the air intake goes right into the TB right now, you would have to modify the piping to go down into the lower left to the turbo (which is in the left housing near the passenger front tire) then the piping from the intercooler comes up from the IC on the drivers side. Basically you would have to tear the whole back off the unit & do some major piping re-work.

BTW,

I talked to SR Motorsports & they have not released their air intake for the Greddy (it is on their website). They said there have been some problems with the Greddy system, and until it is all worked out they are not going to be releasing their air intake for the Greddy Turbo system.

Actually, maybe it can. Rick's Rotary is getting a REVi and will try to adapt it to the Greddy kit. At this point my conjecture is you have to lengthen the MAF wire harness, fab some custom pipe from airbox to turbo, and from intercooler to throttle body. Time will tell.

That's what I am saying. right now it can't there will have to be extensive modification, changing the piping to a different angle to go to the turbo, shaving off the back end so that the pipe that comes up from the intercooler will fit. Basically by the time you are done it won't really be the RB Revi system anymore. And for the gains it will be $$$ prohibitive. I'm actually putting parts of my Rotary Extreme system around my Greddy intake, but even that will involve some cutting/fab work.

So what do people with the Greddy turbo use for an intake? Does it come with it's own?

Airinx Intake. Essentially looks like a blue foam mushroom at the end of a pipe.
