Racing Beat exhaust cabin noise

Does anyone have any sound clips of the Racing Beat exhaust in the Cabin?. I am looking this weekend to have one fitted and wondered about the cabin noise. Is there a drone on the motorways at all.

I had a Hayward and Scott exhaust on my Honda Accord Type R and I eventually sold the car due to the cabin noise being too intrusive. Dont want the same to happen to my RX8.

Any help on the subject greatly appreciated.

This was a concern of mine as well. I had a Turbo Tuff from Pettit on my FD, and while it sounded GREAT outside the car, it droned like hell inside just cruising around.

I'm happy to say that I don't get this with the RB on my 8 at all. Its somewhat loud (but not eardrum shredding) when you want it to be, i.e. when you get on it. Just cruising, I don't even notice it.

i had the same problem on my civic with an invidia cat back

i have the HKS now and it's a dream inside the car...pretty loud from outside from what i've been told. i think the 8 seals up pretty well and keeps noise out

I wondered the same thing before i installed my system, So I installed a RB cat Back exhaust this last weekend on my 8. And after driving around both freeway and city street, i am very happy with the sound! First i was surpised how quiet it is when you are at the speed you want to go, city or highway. I have to "listen" for the exhaust sound to hear it.
Its when you are "getting" to your speed that you notice the lower tones and free flow of the exhaust. So when your RPM's are higher that you may notice the sound. In no way is this exhaust system too loud or droney. I dont think you will be turning your sound system up to hear it over the cat back.

i was wondering the same thing, I'm either getting the RB or the borla--the deeper sounding the better. Also I'd like to team that exhaust with a nice intake, I found an HKS for 499.99 on Vivid Racing, that looks like a good one?? I haven't seen anything on here about it either, i think it's new.

Racing Beat here as well. Sounds fine inside. I'm still going to sound proof the doors and trunk this summer, because I just bought a new midpipe, and together they might be to loud. But I lost most of my hearing anyway from years of Rock 'N Roll :D

the racing beat unit is the classiest exhaust of the bunch, at low rpm it sounds very close to stock, but when you open up the throttle it sounds very pleasing, but not very loud.

you'll be happy with the rb cat-back. get it.

Another plug for Racing Beat. I have had mine for a week and I love it. Just went to Houston and back today. Quiet when cruising and a great sound when you open up the throttle.

BTW, the fit was perfect. The auto tech class at our high school installed it for me and it took about 30 min tops. They were really pleased with the quality and fit.

RX8store.net had the best price.
