Anyone have personal experience with the RB Race exhaust? The single outlet, turn-down exhaust? If you have personal experience your own or a friend or even somone you have seen let me know what you know. Thank You, Michael

malexander: welcome to the club!

Fortunately for you, the Racing Beat exhaust is one of THE most popular exhausts for our 8's.
Take a little to familiarize yourself with this forum and you'll find that there's an absolute wealth of knowledge here that can fe found using the Search option towards the top right of your screen.

I'd recommend searching by title
Check out the, 'Exhausts exhausts exhausts' thread.

P.S. Here's some teaser pics of my RB exhaust:

Many think it is not loud. Did you have this exhaust? any pipes/intakes/headers installed? Same question if you heard it on another car.

Depends on what the rest of the setup is, but it is loud.

Several autocrossers ran them last year. I had one on my car for about 30 minutes two years ago - way too loud with an un-resonated high flow cat / midpipe combo I was running (RP Supercat ver1). I will be testing the exhaust with Mazsport's dual resonated catless midpipe hopefully next week for ***** and grins.

^^ that's what made it so loud.

The RB exhaust with OEM cat is actually one of the quietest exhausts out there.

If my test sound level and sound quality make me grin, I'll keep it that way and maybe sell the REV8 dual. Time will only tell...

My last car was an 83 Mustang Gt 5.0 which i highly modded that was just deffining.

Racing beat states on their website that the single outlet race exhaust is loud and meets the 92 db limit imposed by some tracks. So expect your exhaust to be 92db with this exhaust.

The website #s are probably with a cat - HUGE difference without the dampening effect of the all that honeycomb, no way it's 'legal'.

That's as precise an answer as you will get.

Good point that this is with a cat. it will be considerably louder without.

I suppose you'll have to go to youtube and turn your speakers up to 11 then...

That's what I assume, I haven't measured the db, but it's in the 'friggin loud' range....
