its not a problem. It doesn't pick up big debris.

There's an air filter after the duct...

It will filter any large debris - dogs, cats, soda cans, you name it, and I bet it filters it.

Cool Seen it....

It is already divided into small openings - nothing over an inch could enter, then the Z shaped airpath would knock down any velocity the debris has, leaving the filter to do it's job.

Geez, you guys sure are hard on a guy who ask a fair question. I have found that a screen placed in front of the intake works very. I tried several different screens and found the one inch chicken wire to work the best.

kewl--dont pay no attention to these guys--it was a fair question they are just screwing around.. In the back of my little mind i was thinking of cutting the grill to fit the intake and using a screen---havent got the guts to do it yet.

It will have to be a lot smaller than 1" to get past the OE grille openings

It does pick up a lot of sand and other small stuff that the cars in front of you, wind, etc. kick up. You have to clean the filter quiet a bit more often with the duct on than off. It funnels everything right into the airbox.
