I have narrowed my choices down to RB and GReddy. I did a search to read some reviews and found a few things mentioned about the GReddy that disturbed me.

I saw on more than one posts about the GReddy not being a true cat-back - that it replaced the cat and made the exhaust "illegal" because of no catalytic converter.

Did I read something wrong or was this just a few posts from people that were a bit confused?

Where did you see that BS about the Greddy?
"Cat Back" means In- BACK of the Cat Converter. The link below is what you get, all of which is installed in back of the Cat.

I know...that is what made me wonder. I'm thinking maybe one of the first ones that came out maybe?

It was weird.

 

cat-back means 'From the Cat, back to the end of the exhaust system', not 'installed behind (in back of) the Cat.

If it's a cat-back, it replaces EVERYTHING from the Cat-converter, back....Mid-pipe..mufflers, the whole of it.

 

So you get the same amount of piping with either kit.
