I'm looking to buy a underdrive pulley or pulley set for my 8. I don't track the car and I want to keep the a/c. It looks like 20% underdriven is the most popular type. The Agency Power pulley has the best power to dollar ratio and comes with a new belt. Does anyone know if the belt is a factory belt or if it's shorter for use with the smaller pulley? Has anyone seen the RalcoRZ pulleys on ebay? The kit includes 3 pulleys for only $200 and they look way better than all other popular kits. I'm just afraid to buy any performance parts from ebay that aren't sold elsewhere. Has anyone tried these? The belt on my car has 27K on it and I'm wondering if I'll need to order a new belt if I go with one of the kits that doesn't include one or if I'll be able to tighten it enough.

Replace the belt only if it has :

- cracks
- been thru like 50-60K miles
- You have too much time / money

I replaced mine at 30 K, for reason number 3.

and the belt comes with the kit are usually shorter, for the smaller pulley.

Does anyone know how much the RalcoRZ pulleys set is underdriven? 20%? what? This kit looks more badass than any other kit i've seen and it's way cheaper than the other kits. The guy selling it on ebay knows everything about them except for how much underdrive the crank pulley has.

im not sure if you were confused about what the 20% means or not but im pretty sure that they're sayin that its 20% lighter then stock.. i got all mine changed with unorthodox pulleys cept my crank one got a lil banged up sumhow so i changed that out with a agency power.. make sure u dont do the dumb move like i did n tighten it to much i drove my car n it felt like i was divin a 10hp scooter haha. once i got that fixed the agency power felt the same as the unorthodox

You want to get a lighter pully not an under drive. Our AC sucks you will make it worse and not be happy.

We used a termometer and check my car vs one with underdrive.

Mine was 3 degrees cooler.

I have a slightly used Agencey Power, under drive pulley I could part with, it has a bit over 3500 miles on it. I don't like underdriven I decided, it's too hot here in the summer was fine in the winter.

This week I finally decided to go with the Agency Power pulley kit. I don't think it's the best looking. I bought it because it was only $144 shipped new. I don't use my A/C anyway. Must have more power.

I received my A/P pulley this week. The install was quick and easy. I used a 5mm allen key for the 4 new screws included. It came with 2 new short belts. The quality is good too. Instructions aren't included but I think it would be easy enough to figure out if you've never done one before. I'm really happy with the pulley's performance overall for the price.

Cool. I was hoping to save enough money for the HKS hi-power exhaust, but if I'm honest the AP pulley is probably my next mod.

Anyone installing the AP pulley should be careful not to strip the allen heads of the included screws because it's a real bitch to grind the head off one of those screws with a dremel. At first I was using a ratchet with an allen socket for a little more torque. The allen wasn't very long. The socket that the allen sticks out of rubbed the inside of the pulley and didn't allow for a straight-in lock with the screw. There's no way to get a screw removal tool on a drill in there so don't mess up. Don't over torque them. You have to use the included cap head allen screws because the big footprint of the original screws will bind on the inside of the new pulley. I tried to use the stock screws. They do not work. If you can't get enough torque with a regular little key, slide something about 10 inches over the key and use your good judgement. I should really invest in a torque wrench. Anyone know exactly how much the screws are supposed to get?

you probably want about 10ft/lbs for the bolts...that's not much

my Pen1s can lift 10 ft pounds , been doing some exercise. But on the serious note , i think pulleys are a WASTE of money unless you have a supercharger of course .

Exactly why are pulleys more beneficial if you're running a supercharger than if you're not?
