Proven HP gains?

I know this may sound ambiguous, but I would like to know if anyone has actually tried out any aftermarkets and dynoed it themselves to see the actual HP gains. I am very doubtful of some of the 'overly exaggerated' claims by some manufacturers. If anyone out there (a 3rd party) has some dyno sheets done with regards to exausts, midpipes, air intakes, flywheels, ECU upgrades, please share it with the rest of us and enlighten me regarding worthy aftermarket upgrades. thx

those of u who's gunna reply with 'use the search', i did, but i didn't find much info with that. if there is already a similar thread, sorry.

thats quite impressive. if only the Canzoomer ECU mod is suitable for the Australian Flashes (i have yet to get a reply regarding that). i'd buy it ASAP if canzoomer tells me that it works for the G flash in Aus (yes, thats our latest flash, its diff with the american flashes, and we don;t have any info from our dealers regarding what the flashes actually do)

Yanje, read Hymee's article on Canzooming his car - nil. It is just too variable.

I saw this one since I have Unichipped my car... I will field test it and write it up. Hint: I am converatively excited.

I'm taking my 8 to a dyno for the first time on Nov 4th. Unfortunately, I won't have a baseline with no mods for comparison. I'll post the graphs when I get them on Nov 4th. Look at the sig for a list of mods.

http://www.racingbeat.com/FRmazda4.htm

go halfway down that page. Racing Beat is by far the most conservative and most likely to provide accurate HP Dyno comparisons.

You guys seem to have the same problems as the NSX guys in the search for more horsepower.

What became of the Procharger blower setup being promoted by the dude at Rotary Revolution (who happened to be an *******)?

I've seen what Prochargers can do for Mustangs, but I take it that the Renesis has too much compression?

Looks like the Sunflower set-up, not the most effective form of FI, anyway.

a CZ/e-manage with some tuning will most definately give you some good gains

So I guess the answer is, "no".

I'll do a baseline when I break my car in (900 miles so far). Then I'll do a dyno run after each mod.

You all should expect my baseline in the next month or so.

For the RX-8, I would prefer positive displacement, twin screw for low end and moderate power gains, or a single turbo for high hp applications.
