So itz best to just leave the tiny space btwn the PRM and the hole in front? No need to customize an extra pipe to fix with the PRM and the hole in front at the bumper?

Review #duece

What up guys,

So I managed to get the last PRM CAI from the introductory set from Gerry. I got it on Tuesday, but was not able to install it right away. I finally got the chance to put the bad boy on yesterday along with completely removing the vfad so it took me a hot minute, but I got it done. Anyway, after putting it on........WOW!!! compared to stock that thing sounds way sick!!! This intake definitaly gives the rotary an aggressive sound. I was showing it off to some of my friends yesterday and they had to admit that they were most impressed with the aggressive sound. Later on when they were drunk, they wanted to show off my car off to some girls so we went out just to listen and the girls were definitely impressed as they immediately started to ask for a ride in my "sexy red car" as they so jockingly put it haha.......this intake def turns heads and gets the right kind of attention if you what i mean.....I guess this was probably the most exciting thing to me was the sound since I already knew thats mostly what i was gonna get with intake for the 8. I did notice a subtle but noticeable increase in response as well as acceleration. Im currently noting the mileage so i can see if their is an increase in mileage or not....so more to come....

the main thing i dont get is why its so small... the sr was huge! the stock intake is huge! So why so little? But if the numbers are there they are there. Curious to know how they did it. any issues with idle?

Obviously you may do whatever you like, if you have taken off the Vfad eveything will be fine, if you feel you want to do more by all means. I HEARD only HEARD Gerry may be looking into something to fit in the hole. Also that the intake is taking in ambient air via readings.

Nope haven't heard, and it's so new that don't think anyone has done it yet. It MAY make a difference, but I am happy with the way it is running so it is NOT on the top of my priority list and honestly I wouldn't worry to much about that if I were you. Can add it later if you ever feel like it.

You want big??? If it puts out the same numbers, runs smooth etc...why wouldn't you want smaller/lighter?? It is PRM patient design and I don't think they are going to give up their little secrets lol. It works and works well that is all I know. NOPE ZERO idle issues...smooth all the way!!

YUP hit the track today damn that's fun!!

PRM awesome!! My car ran awesome, and the PRM best sounding 8 out there, next to the ones running catless. There was a crew of 10 of us all 8s and one s2000. Car was shootin fire with a cat, smooth, awesome throttle response and all. A racer of many many years that took us out and drove 3 or 4 other cars that day as an instructor mentioned he liked how mine was feeling, best out of the other ones he drove. NOT saying it's because of this intake lol...but it is part of the package.

All I can say after a track day...fukin luv it!!

i think i will just buy the $139.00 basic package and custom fit the rest using mine own couplers. That way i get the sound without having to pay twice as much

Prm

Finallyz i got the time to review this intake.

And for the convenience of others, i'll make it shortz and simplez.

- Power and response is subtle. But is therez.
- Sound: Love the sound!!! it givez a growlingz and CRISPY racing sound.
- No idlingz issues.
- Filter is cleaned easily and is onlyz neededz every half a yearz.
- For the price, this thingz lookz sexy to me.
- No heat issues. As the tip is situated very near to the vfad hole. (if u are reallyz worried abtz this, u canz actuallyz make a heat insulation box for itz)

I reallyz like the productz and im a happy customer.

Lastlyz, id like to thankz gerry for his kind response to my queries and his kind accomadations over e-mails.

Thankz bro!
