When I went in looking for my 8, the salesman told me their location supplied and installed all mazdaspeed parts for the 8, including the flywheel, bodykit, etc. He of course said we could look at this after I bought the car. I live in Canada, mazdaspeed parts arent available here yet to the dealers.

I tend to go with the sales will tell you anything scepticism. No I didn't buy from that dealership I"m in the final process of getting my blue 8 from another.

Be interesting to see if this thread proves out though.

I will be going with CZ's ECU upgrade since I want to add a turbo. Between the 2 I should be able to tune my car to somewhere between 350-400 hp at the fly. This won't be happening till next summer and I was hoping that Mazda would have a Mazdaspeed turbo by then. We'll see. Either way I would recommend to anyone thinking of getting a chip (if it exists) from Mazda that they have a friend buy it so that they can't trace the car and get it installed in a whole new ECU/PCM so that you can trade it out when you go to the dealership hence not voiding the warranty. And if you were to put 300 hp to the fly wheel your mixture would be lean enough that your whole exhaust system would need to be replaced. Your cat would die very quickly and I would imagine that the muffler would be getting very hot. My recommendation would be to go with a new cat back, at least 3" diameter tubing, a very good high flow/temp cat, and a larger exhaust. Otherwise you will be without all these things very quickly anyway.

Does anyone even know if our fuel injectors and fuel pump could keep up with a map that would permit 300 hp N/A?
