Those dyno variance articles apply to anything with wheels. Just because its not 8 specific doesn't mean its not valid.

They merely point out that by switching which dyno you run at, you can see upwards of a 30 whp variance...without any other factors.

Hell even swapping from dos to windows on a dynojet shows a variance! This is CAR INDEPENDENT. You can even dyno a bicycle if you got the calves.

The second set of articles go over how the mainstream manufacturers sometimes tweak dyno numbers...but running the car till they get a gain, restrapping it, turning the ac on for one run, off for another, dynoing on a different day, dynoing on a different dyno, etc etc.

These are just articles explaining how a manufacturer can dyno and show a 10 whp gain, and then a member puts it on there car and gets 2 whp from it.

Now I understand what you mean. Yeah I agree, that is definitely possible. I will do this though. I'll dyno with and without the intake to see what happens. I've got a hook up here in KC where I can get the dyno for free so we'll see what happens.

As far as dynoing the car goes, I've heard that I need to disconnect the ABS sensors and such to get the car to stay in a normal fuel map. Is this true?

I don't like the KN, it freaking ideal too much when the car is not moving. My whole car shakes, feel like break down lol. And sometimes my RMP gauge drop between 500 to 0 rpm, and the car shuts off.

What is the latest info on the new K&N Air Intake. I saw an ad that claimed a 10 hP gain.

Ditto, I'd like to know myself... just saw the advertisement as well and if it was cheap, I was thinking about buying it.

Not true at all...simply do the 7-second-dsc button push...that's it. No wrenches required.
