new exhaust

hey everybody here"s some new pictures of the exhaust work i just had done. I did 3" pipe from the catalytic converter back with two magnaflow straight through mufflers part #14419 (they're a round muffler they're 4"s wide and have a body length of 14"s) I might add a third before the Y pipe to quiet the exhaust down a bit. I might not though not too sure just don't want to get pulled over for it being way too loud. But here's some pictures tell me what you think.

the second is mounted directly above the bottom one when the car's on the ground you can't see it. And i just noticed the pipes make a triangle shape

Cool - unique indeed - any chance of a dyno run - anything else done to your 8? A video clip on the way??? LOL

How much did this whole setup run?

I've been asking someone to do this set up for years.

Very nice.

How loud is it?

I'm not a big fan of the kinks in the pipe... but I'm picky on appearance.
Are those "fins" around the tips? That doesn't look bad at all (but maybe a close-up pic would be better).

The small kinks in the pipes are a cosmetic downside. The tips are bevelled at a 45 degree angle and it does look like fins which is actually a cool idea (actuall it would tie nicely into the design of the headlights, but I like the tips I have), but their actually dimples in the tips as far as noise is concerned it actually gives a very deep hum but the db level i still have to check out. It can be loud if you bring it up over 4k which is almost always with a rotary. I'll be all set if it's 95db or less

Just bought a DB meter at 4k it tested roughly between 95DB and 96DB @ 6k the needle pinned on the DB meter I didn't change the range setting to see how loud 6K was yet but will play around with it more later.

Next time, (if there is ever a next time) you get an exhaust look for a shop that has a mandrel bending machine. Not that it will really matter much with an exhaust that big, but you keep the pipes from kinking down in spots.

Looks good though as long as you like it thats all that matters.
