Need To run 13's how??
 

I need my RX8 to run in the 13's in the quarter mile i was wondering what i need, dont want to tubo or supercharger it tho.

Two of them.........the big ones.....and you'll need them by tonight

Seriously though getting in to the 13's N/A won't be easy. Light wheels, slicks ,NOS, light flywheel, different final drive, all of the bolt ons(intake, header, exhaust, test pipe, underdriven pullies, short shifter), tuning, tuning, more tuning and extensive weight reduction and maybe you'll be able to do it.........maybe

I think you can do a 13.9 with nitrous.

You will have to remove everything in the car. Seats radio glove box etc.

what does a stock RX8 run?

ya u can run 13's.. take off everything down to the metal, strap a sparco seat, light wheels, light grip tires(warmed up), 1/4 gas tank, no unecessary fluids. all bolt ons, CF parts on everything, loose weight, ECU tuning. i am talking out of my ass but i am sure if u do all these perhaps u can make it? XD

Like what everyone else says nitrous will be the easiest route.

go down the hill, with a straight road, you will be able to make it low 13's...for a 1/4 miles (stock engine), otherwise, go for FI or NOS, that's what i have read in this forum....

Put a 55 shot Zex nitrous kit in and you will be in the 13's. Or strap every NA mod out there and you will still be running in the 14's.

do people really buy RX-8s for out of the box drag racing?

Buy another car.

I don't think it'd be impossible if they're running 14.5sec stock. High-flow panel filter, no cat and a Cobb AP, should get you .6sec, i don't know about drag racing though really. That mod combo, the Triple Threat, can add up to 15hp.
