MS CAI is very nice. I haven't had any issues, and it rains a lot in Tampa. Just don't drive in 2' of water.

MS CAI is fine, get that.
Just use caution when washing the car, don't direct the water stream directly at the filter.
I ran mine through many car washes with no problems.
Wasn't until the dealer sprayed water directly on the filter did I get too much water in my intake and it bogged the car down (water across the MAF).
Someone here had a good idea to put a plastic bag over the filter while washing the car just to be safe.
And don't worry about rain... I ran through many storms with no problems.

Water doesn't hurt the engine. It just turns to steam. It actually helps clean the motor out. But I'd recommend distilled water, or some clean source for scheduled cleaning, over street puddles.

Yeah... its not the water entering the engine, but the inaccurate reading across the MAF from the water.

the filter is mounted pretty high. You'd be in pretty deep water to cover it.

The MS CAI should come with two screens, both within the couplings.

MS CAI doesnt come with any screens.

it will ask you to take the screen out of your stock airbox setup.

REALLY?!
Next time someone asks me if they should purchase the AEM or MS intake, I'll recommend AEM since they provide the screens in their couplers.
I know the screens in the OEM box can be a little tricky to remove.
I had to remove those for my Racing Beat intake.

I retract my previous post.....
I couldn't help it and had to download the MS intake installation manual.
According to the contents section, the MS intake DOES come with two couplers:

I have this MS kit on my car, I was pretty worried at the first, but the thing is the air filter came with filter wrap, so it helps to keep the filter dry and clean. And the funny thing is...my car seems to be running better and faster in the raining days.

Another solution is, to buy a heat shield and get it installed, that could help the stop the intake sucking water.
