hey guys,
i'm going back on forth on exhaust thing myself between the Greddy SE and the HKS Legamax have you guy thought about that one?. I heard sound clips on you tube on them both but can't tell which one is louder or if there the same Do you guys know? I don't want something thats crazy loud like the Turbo XS . I just want somthing that just has a nice more aggressive sound. your thoughts would be great

I say the Racing Beat exhaust... It's not too loud and not very quiet.
It's more of a subtle sound compared to the SP2 and it has no drone.

Sorry I meant the Turbo XS.

what should i do...go with just the catback, or get a mid pipe. i read somewhere it gives like 8 to 12 extra horses. but sound wise, what does it do? or should i just stick to my plan and get the greddy se?

The midpipe may yield more benefits than just upgrading the exhaust - Not sure if those numbers you stated were accurate but i do know a positive number can be gained by going with either a hiflo cat or midpipe + exhaust.

The cheapest combo out right now is Turbo xs however many people have reported some fitment issues...not only w/the piping but with tips as well because they don't extend past the exhaust shrouds. Which means they'll be melted in a short amount of time.

the next most inexpensive one is the agency power exhaust/midpipe combo. Lots of members have this exhaust as well and fewer complain about fitment issues.

*disclaimer - this is IMO (in my opinion)*

A. Well, you're split between:

Agency Power Exhaust system: $750.00
Pros: Comes w/midpipe, titanium tips, widely recommended
Cons: Kinda loud, some people have reported some fitment issues (minor)

HKS Hi Power: $465.00
Pros: Lightest exhaust, good sound, really good price, some reported hp gains
Cons: Single sided (not sure if you wanted that or not), no midpipe/exhaust only (not really a con, but still)

Greddy S/E: $700.00
Pros: IT'S TITANIUM!!! lol
Cons: none reported so far

Turbo XS: $500
Pros: comes w/midpipe, good sound, good flow
Cons: Fitment issues (good chance it will melt your exhaust shrouds), midpipe only fits turbo xs's exhaust (w/out modifications)

*prices were all pulled off of fluidmotorsports.com*

IMO - i think fluid can help you get better prices if you asked but as of right now...if i had to choose for you...i'd go with Agency's full exhaust setup.
Reason: It comes w/a mid pipe already, so no need to try and find a hiflo or midpipe that'll mate w/your other exhaust. Plus it's pretty (titanium tips). The price is legit, i'm not sure if fluid can get you a better deal than what they advertise, but it wouldn't hurt to ask. There's also a decent demand for this setup in the for sale forums. So if you ever decide to part out, you'll have an immediate interest.
Gripes: It might be a little loud for your taste. if you have crappy neighbors, i'm sure you're gonna hear it from them lol.
but cheah, if you're as ocd as i am...be sure to check out youtube and compare and contrast for more detail.

GL w/your purchase!

Mazsport's Dual Resonated midpipe - unfortunately they're not sold any more - best bet is to look in the f/s forums - other than that - most of replacement pipes need either more silencers or resonators...all of which can be done at an exhaust shop...

As I'm looking at the pictures on Fluid Motorsports webpage, some come with the mufflers/tailpipes and a 3rd piece/pipe. Do the Hymee system come with this 3rd piece as well or just the muffers/tailpipe? (The picture only shows the tailpipe) I'm thinking of either the Borla, Hymee or Greddy system.

Hymee is sexy. No midpipe though - the price is for the catback only.

lol -

I admit Apocolypse's Tanabe Ultra Medallion paired w/rx7 stores Midpipe sounded like pure sex....probably my favorite combo EVAR.

Not sure about the weight bro - it's a dual exhaust versus single side??
