Yes, it will affect your O2 sensor and will throw a check engine light more than likely.

Yes, you can get an AccessPORT and have the CEL for a missing cat blocked so it won't show.

How much are you willing to read? Because a complete answer isn't short, and we can't just link you to the only guy that sells the AccessPORT because he was banned from the forum.

basically the accesport is a tuner. you use it to tune your pcm or program it if thats what you want to call it. Its not something an average joe like you will be able to do yourself, you will need to get it tuned professionaly by people who know how to tune accessports.

its basically the same as a chip, but has more options and is able to be tuned to your car setup only, not a universal thing. A tune will cost at least $300 and on top of that the accesport will run you $350 for a used one on here.

also it just plugs into the ODBII port under neath your steering wheel, unlike mosts chips which need to go on the pcm.

the Cobb Accesport with come pre-equipped with a stage 1 tune, which will give you some HP and TQ gains but not too many. If you have an air intake you will not be able to run the stock pre-loaded maps and will have to get it tuned.

It also comes with a couple other pre-loaded maps, such as economy mode (better MPG), Anti-Theft (car wont start without the accessport plugged in) and a rev limited one (doesnt let revs go above 6700rpm i believe)

To get good power gains you will need to get it tuned to your car.

Also, I have a catless midpipe and I have a Cobb AP. My cobb is tuned to block the check engine light, so it doesnt ever come on.

Also, before you get a midpipe you need to understand that first of it is illegal (im not saying dont do it) so techincally you can get a ticket for it and it will not pass inspection. Second off it will make your car smell like crap, im used to it and dont mind it now but it doesnt smell good and you will be able to smell it inside the car if you have the car drawing the air from outside and not circulating inside.

Your welcome because no one else on this forum will be willing to type this all up for you, i see you are new here and i used to be like you. But im just letting you know, everybody here will just bitch at you a tell you to use the search bar, so try searching before asking questions that have been answered 100's of times.

no problem, if you have any more questions feel free to ask, but send a pm cause everybody else here will give you crap.

just remember to search before creating a thread. best way to search is go to google and type site:rx8club.com (then type here what you want to search for, dont use parenthesis tho)

if you wanted to search about mid pipes you would type
site:rx8club.com midpipe

and itll be easy to find what youre looking for.
