which mid-pipe with HF cat
There are two RX8 mid-pipes with high-flow cat that I have seen advertised as being able to meet emmision standards. They are the Canzoomer midP4 with Random Tech cat, and the SSR High Flow Cat Converter. Can anyone compare these two mid-pipes on the following points:
1. Most HP gain (least restrictive)
2. Quietest with stock muffler
3. Best able to handle stage 2 ECU retune
Are there any other HF cats I should consider that will be available in the near future?
Thanks,
Darrell

one of the best mid pipes ive seen was bb or rs or rotary extremes and their high flow cat but one thing u have to consider is that if your getting a canzoomer ecu do the mid pipe and cat after because of o2 sensors that might give you problems and other **** that u might run into if u keep the stock ecu

I was considering the same thing. I actaully got the SR Motorsports unit this past week. They now have an option for a resonator to put onto the unit to keep the noise down. I think Dave has a pretty good review on this unit in a thread around here. I was interested in the CZ unit as well but it is a little pricey at $599, and I have heard it is pretty back ordered. SR Motorsports is running a special now thru Oct. you can get 10% off (Sevenstock special). Do you have a website for SSR ?

I have the new (quieter) CZ Mid-P-4 + standard muffler, and I am very happy with it. More power, and no more noise at idle (rumbles nicely tho. ). Much more meatier sound throughout the rev range too. :D

Thanks for the feedback guys. I have the mid4p on order along with a Stage 1 ECU. Since the mid-pipe will arrive much sooner than the new ECU, are there any downsides with running the mid-pipe with the stock M flash ECU as njItalianboy suggested?
Thanks,
Darrell
