Mazmart pump installed ! Impression !
nycgps: Saw your gauge pod setup and thought you could use this:

Also the Aluminum radiator may pick up more heat at idle than the stock radiator due to heat soak from the engine bay. It should definitely cool better at speed though.

So I can use the money for something else.
So has anyone else noticed their engine bay smells a bit like Redline water wetter after some hard revving? I'm worried there's a leak somewhere in my system after I put everything together, but I also know the cap vents and I'm wondering if it's just the vented elements that I'm smelling. My coolant level seems to be stable.
Who has it installed tho ? I think most people got into the Koyo Bandwagon just because of its price (me included ...) and Koyo name.
Hmm, I will look into it, its not a cheap bet @ 600 bux. but if it someone has it and it *really* lowers the temp (or at least keep it at certain temp without spiking) then its worth it.
Hmm .... sound interesting.

with the blow off it is a good idea to reroute the blow off hose---i have seen some getting coolant on the electric power steering connector--just get a little longer hose an reroute it away from tha area.

true--for the track i have seen people route it to their windshield!
Currently it seems that some cars run hotter with the kyo, also dont put a higher pressue cap on- that also can affect youre temps.

I get *around* the same temp readout with or without the high press cap. BUT ! with the higher press cap, the temp drop faster. I could be wrong tho. Cuz I havent pay much attention to the gauge these 2-3 days. I set warning for Water temp to 105 Celsius, Oil temp to 110.
, especially people like me, who just cant run 100% water with water wetter
I think the manual says 230F water will help clear dust from the engine bay.
and I dont like that.
I dont think I have to reroute it tho, after the cap change, I have *yet* to notice any coolant. I guess the gas is holding it tight.
Im not sure if it has something to do with Water wetter or just my coolant mixture rate changed.
Ever since I swap the water pump, my water temp spike up really fast if I do hard driving. I've seen as hot as 100 something celsius water temp once! Oil temp same thing. oh I put 50/50 with water wetter after the pump swap
then I flushed the coolant with 50/50 again with water wetter. same thing.
Before the water pump swap I have about 40/60 mixture (40 antifreeze) with Royal Purple Ice. Oil temp never went past 95.
Im thinking of flushing it again, but this time only 50/50 coolant and see what happens. then I will add Royal Purple.
