Mazdaspeed exhaust install price?

So i checked with my dealership, they said the installation price is 180$! starting from the catalytic converter. Is that an ok price? doesn't really seem like it.

No do it yourself - take less than an hour.

Drive down to SoCal and I'll do it for you for the cost of a 24 pack.

It is just a few bolts and some hangers - pretty hard to screw up - IMO it is a good beginner mod.

Just get the service manual off the net and follow it.

what kane said. it's a very simple mod that if you want to be involved with modding your car, you should install it. if you must, search around, you can probably get it done for 50 or so.

Yes, what they all said! it was one of my first mods by myself and it is easy! Look for MM's DIY for a bit of help...

for fun, i always call my dealership for quotes and for the exhaust they quoted me 300$. I paid a guy in a local shop a couple bucks to let me use their powered lift cause i dont like being completely under a car on stands. also its faster. also i dont have a garage. He helped hold it up while we put it in, even though i guess technically im not supposed to be in their garage, but noone cares.

they also quoted 350 for a brake rotor/pad replacement... took me 2 hours to do with a friend.
they quoted 65 for 4 tire dismount, then re-mount on another set of rims with tpms and balance. which was actually a fair price.
They also wanted like 300 for the trunk pass through panel, and about 1000 for calipers.
