Here check these threads before you get flamed, this has been discussed a few times. Try emailing BHR with specific questions, I know they have experience with this.

Don't do it!

Our engine has enough problems already, like weak compression and so on. If you add another problem like NOS, your engine might die and you'll end up with a new engine. It won't be covered by warranty if they find out you use NOS. It's your car, it's your decision... i'm just sayin'.

Charles has stated time and time again that if you follow his install steps for a 55 shot you will have no problems.

+1 on not listening to monchie

I know what you guys are sayin', but if his/her engine dies because of this, then it's
up to him/her's decision. I'm not deciding, it's the op's decision. Good luck.

The point of it is to add more torque, duh. By your logic then turbos and every other power adder are pointless. I don't have "NOS" but I have the ZEX wet kit.

And, to the OP, learn to search and quit being a lazy ***. The topic of nitrous oxide has been talked about in many threads.

a turbo would make more sense, I do not want to keep spraying nos or zex in my engine to speed up everytime I want to accelerate or having to refill it.

I don't spray to speed up every time. I spray when I need too. Refilling the bottle is no more of a pain in the *** than filling your gas tank. Unless you live in BFE that is.

How about turbo and nitrous

Just press the gas pedal to the metal! That is turbo and nitrous combine right there.

Nitrous is only illegal in the nanny state of Ontario Canada, most other provinces have no issue ... not the mention the States.

Nitrous is great on the streets.
I would recommend the Zex kit 2021 IIRC - 55 wet shot

Agreed
But .... but .... I think Ray did remove his "All Thing To Know about Nitrous" thread, which is unfortunate.

Yes, it is very unfortunate that CRH deleted that thread. There was a lot of info lost to us when that thread was deleted.

In the states it is illegal in most of them to have it hooked up to the car or within reach to be hooked up. From what I read canada or possibly just parts of it have the same laws.

I still don't see a legitimate reason someone would need NOS hooked upon the street, so I think its a great law and should be enforced.

Really in most states ... mmmm I guess I should have done a little more research on the that first ... that surprises me.

Why don't you see a legitimate reason? Nitrous gives you more power when u need it ... examples: Passing, Passing with a trailer, many of the Pick up truck that plow snow use it. Mmmm kind of sounds like many of the same applications you would call on boost.

What in your mind makes it not suitable for the street or worthy of being legal?
It's a simple power adder, the same as a turbo or supercharger or buying a bigger engine, and NOS is likely the one that gives you the least amount at that.

^i never understood that either. You can go out and turbo/modify a 200 hp car and make it 400 but dont add another 50 with nitrous. It boggles my mind other than the safty factor in a bad wreck.

anyone else notice the people who always say "nitrous will break your engine" are the same people who have never had nitrous on their car?

There is no law in Texas regarding nitrous use other than for inhaling it or transporting more than 1000lbs of it. As usual, people (xexok) talking out of their asses who don't know **** about it other than what they have heard from someone else who doesn't know ****. Besides since when are most little not commonly known motor vehicles laws abided by anyway? I see people texting and driving all the time despite our new law. They are far more dangerous than i am with my nitrous bottle

Nitrous itself is not flammable. If I am in a wreck bad enough to smash the bottle and there is a fire at the same time then I am probably **** out of luck anyway

Yep. Most actually don't have a clue as to what it is really or how it works to add power in a vehicle.
