well i actually have not had it installed in MY car. but as the pulley, i've heard many instances where the underdrive pulley did dim the lights. maybe it wont for the 8 as staticlag said. I guess ya'll should listen to him because he actually has it on the car and he has in hand experience wit it.

i understand that, but i guess what im saying is; is it alittle over done? Will it be worth the money, i mean to also do the 4.77 final drive on top of the flywheel and pulley

I have wondered that too. Personally I've gotten the whole power mod idea out of my mind and have been working on suspension but I'd personally suggest doing the gears first (more direct response/feel) and see if you still want the revs to drop/rise quicker.

if money isn't the deciding facter than the 4.77 gear will give you the biggest improvement.

But a factor with the gears is that it is always in use, i.e. even when you are cruising at 75 mph on the freeway your revs will will be higher than if it is on the regular diff. ratios. That is a deal breaker for me. It's already too high (in the rev band) at cruising speed for me. If they were to come out with a set that has shorter 1-4 gears & longer 5 & 6 I would buy it in a heartbeat.

I don't understand the complication over how the flywheel effects the engine...

From my understanding the flywheel has less rotational mass... It doesn't increase power, just allows more of the power the engine creates to go to the wheels instead of moving a heavy flywheel (or a light flywheel)

The underdrive pulley also seems to do the same thing of creating less rotational mass, but also is underdriven 20% (hence being called an underdrive pulley)...

After the HFC, I'm thinking about buying that AP underdriven pulley...

Money isnt the issue right now atleast i am selling my streetbike so as soon as thats gone i will be buying parts like crazy. What suspension are you looking at and or using? is the suspension setup for street, strip, or autocross?

for some (me) the benefit out weighs the drawbacks.....

the few times i'm actually on the freeway i'm stuck in traffic anyways.
