larger radiator / cooling
Anyone know of any aftermarket radiators we can fit. I know there is alot of room, but something to bolt in would be great.
Also, as we aussies only got the 1 oil cooler, i'd be interested on a mazda price for these.
Seeing as alot of us will be going down the forced induction path, we cant expect this car not to overheat without using sifficient cooling.

I think we should wait to see if we can even successfully run a turbo on this engine before we worry about it over heating. But as far as your cooling worries, a larger radiator would be a good idea, since the IC will go in front of the radiator. Also I think a second oil cooler could be thrown into the oil path no problem.

Yeah, that's a hint, lol.
I can't believe that you guys only get 1 oil cooler. I've been thinking of summertime here in vegas when it's 110+ and any extra protection would be great.
However, if you go larger oil radiator, you do have to be careful. Engine operating temps could be lower than expected, and the car could be stuck in an eternal "warm up mode".
This is usually if you go extreme, and not if you slightly bigger. An oil temp gauge would be a great tool in monitoring current temps, and then seeing what a second oil radiator would do for you!

as soon a smy car gets back i'll be looking at fitting a series 4 or 5 rx7 cooler. They are around $190 and my guess is they are about the same.

RX-8 performance radiator
AWR Racing has now come out with a competition radiator for the RX-8. AWR is the company that builds most of Mazda Motorsports' competition radiators. It bolts right in using all stock hoses and sensors.

takahashi, only on the exhaust side, especially when the air/fuel ratio is leaned out. Believe it or not, unlike a conventional motor, I can run my RX8 very hard and go outside and touch the hood and it's cool to the touch!
