You people are all idiots with the losing HP and all your other BS. $75 is a good deal for something that retails for over $300 new. I had the RB and had nothing but problems with it. First off the car idled horribly. Second my MAF was constantly getting wet when it rained which led to me having to clear CELs and clean the MAF during the rainey seasons we have here in the Northeast (AKA. Spring time). I love the sound of the K&N typhoon when I'm on the throttle. Secondly I have not noticed any loss of HP whether it be August or January. The car runs strong all year with no problems. I'll take the K&N "hot-air" intake over your crappy RB any day. K&N is a reputable company which made its name known by it selling aftermarket intakes. Buy what you want and do what you want don't listen to these idiots who probably can't change their own oil. Wow I feel better now!!!!
if you had issues with the racing beat you need to look at whoever did the install..
it rains a lot in fla also..
so if someone sells a pile of dog crap for 300 bucks should you buy it for 75 because it is a good deal?
wondering.

I personally had a K&N intake and got rid of it. I now run the stock airbox with the walls removed, a dropin K&N filter and the RB duct. It accelerates smoother and the rough idle is gone. As for wrenching time let me know if you have ever removed and cleaned your SSV valve if you even know what that is...

I had the MSCAI, I loved the sound but couldn't justify the loss of hp, the poor(er) mpg, and the water issue. When I first installed the intake I didn't have the water issue, but as time wore on it poked its ugly head.
But hey to each their own.... some people don't like what I have done to my car and I don't like what others have done to theirs.....its about what you like on your car.

I have the KN typhoon II
don't get it. Sounds awesome.. but it definitely takes more hot air than it does cold.
It's winter so I haven't had problems but I wanna go back to stock before summer. Or get the AEM. Great intake if you're into sound though.. sounds great with an exhaust. Not too much of a difference from stock though, so I've heard.

Stick with the OEM with K&N Filter. I have a K&N Typhoon 2 and my car could not go pass 113 mph, I was able to hit 123 MPH with my OEM with the K&N Filter. The only good thing about the Typhoon 2 is that you won't need the oil catch/can. I had that problem using my OEM Air Intake. I don't have that prblem with the Typhoon 2 anymore. AT

^ Exactly my thought. The problem is he drives and auto.
I hit 120 with the stock intake and of hit 130 with the K&N V2. Just means I was driving faster with the K&N.
