I have to agree with Razz, from what ive read this intake seems to be the best.

Only reason I chose my V2 over this was because I got a huge discount at the dealership I worked for lol. Plus I think the V2 looks awesome with the carbon fiber.

Eh, either intake you choose you wont feel a difference anyways so pick the one that looks and sounds the best you your opinion.

never had any metal rattles but i do hear the detonation way early so i keep octane boost in the gas so maybe thats the rattle sound, a plastic shop can make you a cover for $20 like mine and i agree on the duct but not the ram, aim it to the side so you intake does nt get super dirty fast "ram has been proven to reduce power"

yeah, you're not going to lose power with a ram air duct like Racing Beat's. Just consider the design factors:
- closed box air filter so it's not sucking in hot engine bay air
- Ram Air duct scooping in 'cold' air as you drive.

We did a dyno day about 2 years ago and 4 of the top 5 cars had Racing Beat Intakes. (I've got the dyno chart if you like) Could be a HUGE coincidence, but then again....

here is the pic of the plastic cover... maybe the car is not going at high speed like when you are on the highway unless you had a very strong fan infront of it "im not arguing your sheets", but ill keep searching

Are you sure you weren't confusing "Ram Air Duct" with "Short Ram Intake"? I believe I've read about a reduction in power from the short ram but a reduction of power with the ram air duct just doesn't make sense. But then again

This is exactly what I wanted to do to mine so itll stop suckin in warm engine air. You said plastic shops can do this?

from carbon build up or cheap gas, makes me believe that i ve been buying 87 instead of 93 but if i add half of a octane booster in the full tank it goes away, not rattles, no marble or screws in a can sound

yes i made one from carbor box. the front goes straight out and the back has a fold but i forgot that angle, side fold down 90 degress about 1 inch then i cut a curb into the back wall for the pipe. then just gave it to them, show them what it was for so they can make adjustments.
ps. the bar the holds the hood holds the plastic in place.
