This has nothing to do with your reply. but I know the JIC is lighter, not sure about weights, I think that's been answered tho.

But a question.
Does anyone actually a Tanabe Exhaust system, I was looking for a sound clip, searched on youtube, streetfire, google, and couldn't find it.

And have heard nothing about this exahust, anyone have a sound clip? or own a medallion?

the JIC full titanium is about 17lbs.

so now the question is, how much is about 7lbs worth? the JIC is up to $500 more, depending on where you get each.

I apologize, did not realize you were the author for this thread; I though that post (regarding calling tanabe) was from a different user.

I was also inquiring if any sound clips exist for the Tanabe exhaust?

I have the best price on the Tanabe Medallion exhaust. hehe.

I'll definitely get you guys the information. This client was ordering through a cheaper place but switched over to us because of my

KILLER CUSTOMER SERVICE. hehehehe. Price isn't everything.

FYI, i'll be out of town on business Fri to tues. So don't get mad at me if i have trouble responding.

Are you guys referring to the JIC Single exhaust?
http://jic-magic.com/ViewProduct.asp...26&CarMakeID=5

If so then the Tanabe has to be a good amount cheaper because there's a $600.00 difference in MSRP and the discounts are better on Tanabe anyways.

JIC = $1900.00

Tanabe = $1290.00

DIFFERENCE, Tanabe has SS piping and the JIC is FULL Titanium.

Thanks, Rishie

i just called tanabe again to ask about how loud it actually is...they arent sure... but they do advertise that with the silencers you can get it under 95db.

the guy also told me the actual weight of the exhaust itself is indeed 20lbs, and 24lbs is the shipping weight

OK SO THE TANABE EXHAUST WITH HANGERS ETC.....

20.5 LBS.

In box it was 30.5 lbs, which sucks cause i was told 24lbs in box. I'll probably lose money now shipping this thing out.

i dont think anyone has the ultra medallion, but if you search you can find soundclips of the super medallion or maybe it was the medallion touring.

But i've been searching for awhile and havent found an ultra medallion soundclips yet.

I can't say for an 8.. but i can for a subbie..

Our STi has the JIC full ti.. its very light and smaller compared to like a hks type muffler. The sound is definitly deeper than the hks carbon-ti it replaced since the titanium produces a different sound. I have a youtube of a subbie if that helps?
Our WRX had the Ultra Med.. it wasn't as loud but was really deep sounding. I also have a vid of that car too..

Out of the two.. JIC is what we would purchase again if we had to..

Here is the Link for the Sti just for a sound clip

we have a full JIC Ti on DKNVs car, again with the OE cat it's not much louder than the factory exhaust driving around normal, has a bit more tuned sound at WOT and is still very quiet overall
