I've got a hole in my Cat-pipe! YAY........

Just like the title says, I have a hole in my Cat-pipe lol. I have an ExocticSpeed HFC-pipe and it looks like the hanger broke off and took part of the pipe with it. So my question now is what do I do lol? The hole is about the size of a quater, and it makes my beautiful exhuast sound like a crapy Honda lol. Has anybody had something like this happen before? Do you think I can just have a muffler shop weld a patch over it or should I just replace the whole pipe? Any help would be greatly appreciated oh yeah, and I have about 9k on the pipe.

well, that sucks!
I would think a welder should be able to patch it for you.

Thanks Jedi and Dannobre, I know nothing about welding so I didnt know if this was fixable. That makes me happy lol . And yeah this leak is really loud. My car was already loud as it was, but under WOT the car is extremely loud, raspy, and annoying lol. It only happend last night and I'm a cable guy so I dont have to drive my car during the week lol.

the fact that you dont' have to drive it during the week is perfect!
remove the pipe this weekend, take the hanger piece with you to a welder / muffler shop and I'm sure they can fix it for you fairly quickly.

I just hope you're not like this guy.

Were the bolts on the flange loose before the hanger broke off.

Took the pics by a Advances Mufflers today to ask them about it and they said they'll fix it for 30buck. So I'll drop it off in the morning and pick it up after work. I'll post pics when it all fixed up!

Just remember, if it's thin there, you may have a problem in another place in the future. This could only be a temporary fix.

Yep, she's all fixed up! Been so busy i haven't gotten a chance to take a look at it yet. I should be able to post up pics tomorrow. It only took them about ten mins to fix and the whole time the owner kept trying to get me to hook-up his cable lol.
