ok,
the oil in the hybrid is changed. the exxon valdeeze spill is cleaned, and i just played pms (not the cramping kind) with scott.

the dyno is to be tonight, one of us will post the results. told him to do it and we can all find out together.

hope this helps.

NICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Cant wait.... So this thread will take one of two directions. Either the pages will grow by about 20 with everyone purchasing the product and posting their results, or it will remain open and end at 28.... My guess though is that it will be right around 15-20 whp.. I really dont see 25+ happening... We'll find out tonight though!

NICE!!!!!!

IF they are able to make 25 hp with this unit (and a decent power curve, not just completely up top) then i think the NA rx8 will have a future.

...if they can make GOOD gains - say, + 10-15HP over a large RPM range, I think I'd order the thing tomorrow.

On a side note - Scott says it mounts under the ECU cover. Is the Interceptor able to handle high heat without any problems? I'm looking at the box and wondering if it needs additional cooling.

It doesn't need additional cooling. I haven't had problems with mine. The cover has been raised about 1/2 inch using spacers, so it's actually exposed, not entirely covered up.

regardless of HP gains, you'll likely get better mileage, and have a good stepping stone for your forced induction system of you choice.

For ECU tuning, you need to look beyond just HP gains.

funny you should mention mpg. i was thinking about that last night. i have/had one of the cars that does well on gas.

have never seen 27 mpg, but have seen 24 with the ac on. my overall average without scotts testing is just above 21mpg. but i never sit in traffic.

as to fi i think you know what i am waiting for. i offer my car for that also. i want to be everyones bitch. for the greater good you know.

Wow, just found this thread about 1.5 hours ago and read all 28 pages leading up to the expected release of dyno results tonight... sweet.

I just got my 8 five days ago and I love it, but would love it even more with a bit more HP, torque, and MPG.

Fingers crossed...

I think if you took out all the "we want dyno" whining this thread would be about 6 pages instead of 29. Stop whining they wil post them when it is done.
