To actually answer your question, the Revi intake from Racing Beat is regarded as one of the best ones for our cars.

Not everyone on here is a douchebag.

Love my AEM intake. If you've got the cash to spare its a great mod as far as an RX8. Doesn't add much power but its not like $300 gets you much more power anyway. Looks great under the hood, sound is amazing, and good quality. The Racing Beat intake is also supposed to be great. Keep in mind though you won't gain much power at all from an intake mod. Mazda almost perfected the RX8's intake and exhaust systems. Not much room to improve.

Revi air duct + k&n drop in filter + dewalled air intake (but keep your air screens in place)
if you dont get the revi air duct, remove your vfad. and if you live in a warm area do the throttle body bypass mod so hot coolant doesnt go through it heating up the air going into your intake.

hope this helps

i use to have the KN TYPHOON v2 (SOLD IT) while now im using the stock intake dewall with kn drop in,, i miss so much the kn typhoon v2 that just bought another one yesterday from a member,, its the loudest of all but definetly give me the fastest time in a quarter mile but it will have iddle issues at stop lights. The stock i could never do the times i did with the kn typhoon. will report later when i go to the track again once i got it install.
