HP estimates for these mods

Hey I have all these mods being shipped and hopefully installed soon. It's going to be a revi with duct, sr high flow cat, and a cz which i'll get dyno'd and tuned by pfsupercars in md. I'm think maybe about 15hp at the wheels? Feel free to speculate or offer suggestions.

15 whp sounds about right. If you get the cz tuned correctly you should expect more.

Total......

15 sounds about right, a properly tuned CZ, plus the HiFlo cat should get you that.

I'm having pfsupercars dyno and tune the car with the mods so im sure they'll do a good job. I think realistically 15hp is about right. I'll let eveyone know once its all done. Mahuna a cz is a canzoomer...its a piggyback system which lets you adjust you a/f ratio among other thigns. check out canzoomer.com and email maurice with questions he does an amazing job and is very quick.

At 15% drivetrain loss it's more like 17.6hp at the flywheel. But it's hard to say what the drivetrain loss really is unless you have an engine dyno too to compare. Lots of people say 15% as a fair estimate for lots of cars, some also say it's closer to 20%, but again hard to say.

Remember - are you asking for 'peak' HP Guesses? Or 'average' HP guesses?

I could guess your car may see a gain of -10hp to +25.

(shrug).

From what I heard you won't get that much with the new FLASH. The new flashes have made up for the power loss on the bottom to mid range.

If you talking peak... 8 for the Revi w CAI and 2 for the high flow. CZ unknown due to new flash.

It is possible that you could get 8 peak with the revi and duct, but dont expect it. More like 6 useable horses. The high flow cat should get you a good deal more than 2 though, i would think at least 5. Even with the new flash you could definitely pick up at least a couple horses with a properly tuned CZ, so it should be at least 15 more horses to the wheels for you, maybe even 20, but i dont think you can squeeze out more than that more. Oh and by the way, in case you may be getting more mods in the future, look into getting a flywheel. They free up power. With your other NA mods the car will definitely be considerably faster with a flywheel.

yea I thought that we were seeing a bit more then 2hp from a high flow cat.

And what is the latest flash? I know i had my car reflashed around may but I'd like to get it flashed before i put in the cz and take it to get tuned.

Rotarymaniac what flywheel do you have? What was the cost to get it installed?

I dont have a flywheel, but look into ACT and RB's flywheels. The latest flash is R by the way, and if you got ur car reflashed in May, you definitely dont have it.

I posted in a old thread the possible HP benefits from mods. These could be debated.

its mostly idle stuff i believe, but i would say you should expect more like 20 if the CZ is tuned well, the better intakes(revi with duct or HKS or auto exe) should yield about 6whp, SR motorsports, R magic, or Rotary performance high flow catalytic converter pipes should yield closer to 8whp, and after its all tuned i would expect a 15-25whp, likely in the 20 range. and if you do catback add another 2-3

the high flow cat fell through so now i have the revi in and the duct and a cz....wierd but i think im getting slighlty worse gas mileage now...not to much maybe just about 10 miles less per tank...i was under the impression the revi and duct and cz would increase your hp and mileage...keep in mind the cz is the preloaded stage 2 map and not tuned yet

The map is probably running rich. Wait until you get it tuned. You will be able to lean out the A/F ratio. I would wait until you get the hi-flow cat though, as you may have to re-tune after that as some of the parts (air intake, hi-flow cat lean out the engine just a bit.

I'm getting 19-21 with my mods right now. I think a tune job is in your future to help you get better MPG.

Be careful, you need to log your AFR to see what the installed map is doing. I tuned my cz the first day I put it on. I have the LC-1 wideband O2 sensor waiting to get installed after my move to verfiy my O2 readings that my Scanalyser is reporting from the can, and I will produce a good greddy map for my mods and publish it in the greddy forum sometime in late October.
