HKS HiPower with Agency Power midpipe

I just put on my agency power midpipe with my HKS hi power exhaust. It is so loud now, maybe to loud. Does Anyone else have the same set up.

Yeah it is ridiculously loud. Loud enough to probably get a ticket for.

even with a turbo installed, i found the hi-power and midpipe combination too loud. I know many of you would consider it OK, but it made me feel all riced out.

I'm getting an HKS Hi-power exhaust installed with my turbo. I have a Racing Beat non-resonated midpipe already. I heard a bunch of YouTube clips that I liked the sound of the HKS exhaust quite a bit, but I realized they didn't really capture the volume so I started doing some reading and found multiple people saying its insanely loud. Its already shipped so hopefully its not overwelmingly loud. Loud exhausts don't bother me too much, I had a very noisy Z28 before the RX-8, but just how loud are we talking? ...

most exhausts have two mufflers. so you have half of the exhaust going through each, compared to one in the hi-power.

additionally, most exhausts sport much larger mufflers than the one on the hi-power.

Combine these two and you get a loud exhaust.

i have the hks hi-power/b&b mid pipe exhaust with greddy turbo kit and it was loud until installed a mazsport mid-pipe then it was a night and day difference in sound...being that its not available anymore i would recommend getting a bnr midpipe they seem to be just as good in sound reducing options you have

How much is the ticket for it btw? I've never gotten a ticket for loud exhaust, but my car is a cop magnet at this point.

i don't know how much the ticket is for yet. if you think yours is a cop magnet, wait til you put that exhaust on. its too bad you weren't at the last sushi meet. you could have heard it in person.

its a badass exhaust combo for sure, you just may get some unwanted attention. i think the idle just sounds mean too, its got a very deep tone.

Yeah, I heard every YouTube clip of the exhaust on RX-8s before I got it... I love the sound of the idle, and I prefer the single outlet exhaust actually. It's really hard to tell from videos how loud the car is in person, especially at WOT. I did see a couple of WOT videos on there from mysql that you can here him coming for a while. I guess I'll just have to find out for myself. The turbo will muffle it a tad too.
