hks single sided is made specifically for turbo rx8's so it'll probably work better if your turbocharged (gain more whp). If they were both installed on a naturally aspirated rx8 they would make about the same whp. You'll only notice a difference if you were turbocharged with the hks exhaust.

HKS has better build quality will last longer, but looks retarded on one side.

I'm not impressed with the Agency at all, tips are just riveted sheets. It hangs poorly and eats shrouds for lunch.

Both are 3 inches but the agency tapers after the "Y".

I have not seen any sheets on either but would suspect they perform HP wise the same, it all comes down to how well the mufflers flow.

If I had to choose between the two I would pick HKS.

HKS is OG in the tuning game, trust HKS they have good quality parts, agency, i wouldn't know, so i wouldn't comment on that. I go HKS.

oh ya! A company that makes things for Porsche is waaaaay too shitty for my RX 8 ... I'm sure they spent just as much energy as a Police man eating a donut when it came too designing the AP exhuast... And wouldn't less back pressure produce more hp? Why are people getting the idea that a single exhaust outlet would be better for a turbo?

I'll claim the cons of the AP exhaust though - >

- Melted shrouds (so you gotta pay attention if you start switching cat-pipes)
- Tips begin too rattle (so you gotta spot weld the tip into place)
- Tips might not look straight (so shoving some nuts/bolts into the hangars helps)

I'm thinking a single exhaust outlet wouldn't have the last problem I deal with... But why have a single exhaust outlet when the car's body is designed around two?

Some products they put out are quality, (I have the endlinks and know others that have the pully's), this exhaust is just not one of them.

Both are 3 inch pipe and the agency tapers after the "Y" so it all comes down to how well the mufflers flow. The performance of the exhaust will prob be close to the same with a slight Edge to the Agency. A singe side exhaust saves on weight and some people are really worried about that.

It is better for turbocharged cars. It's dyno proven. HKS tested it on a greddy turbocharged rx8 and got an average 6.5 whp and 10.5 lbs of torque just by swapping out the exhaust alone, and that was vs. the JIC cat back exhaust. Not to mention he was only running 5-6 lbs of boost.

HKS, Dual or single you can't lose. I agree with everyone else, excellent products and worth the extra cash. If I didn't have the vertex rear I would buy the Hi-Power single exhaust from HKS for the performance.

Agency power stuff is not that highly regarded in the porsche community, and there is plenty of ebay crap available for porsches. just because it's made for a porsche doesn't assure quality.

The JIC is only a 2.5 inch, I think that had more todo with the increase then a going to a single pipe.

I'm surprized they did not compare it to the legamax since it is 2 3/4 inch. I would be curious of the results of that test.
