HiTMaNN's Official Upgrade List 2008 Begins

Well I paid off my car last summer so it time for some big time mods.

I doubt anyone cares but here is my list none the less I have been compiling this list for over 2 months now.

Thanks to Dan and Ray for being able to with stand all my stupid questions while compiling this list.

I have started buying some of the stuff already and judging by all the Overtime I am working this goal should be attainable by the end of this year.

It would be a lot sooner but I am a full time student and I only work around 20 - 30 hours a week. But once May hits I will be working 50+ hours a week which will aid in buying my parts sooner.

The list may change as the time passes but this is pretty much the final list (Unless BHR/MM Release there Turbo and there LS2 Coil Ignition Kit)

Wow you have saved up alot of money. Your list of mods seem very well thought out. I'll be looking forward to more updates. When will you be installing the turbo?

I live in Vancouver where we barely see snow, we see a lot of rain and a lot of sunshine mostly so the weather has nothing to do with this FYI I drive my 8, 12 months out of the year.

I think you should really try to trade it in for MT b4 you do anything else.

cuz if you're so *unlucky* that your engine blows up in the future then you switch to MT, all the time and effort you throw into the AT would be a total waste.

Well it wouldn't be a total waste because I can just transfer most of those things to the new car but as for trading it in right now I had a small accident on the car last year and I really don't want to go through the trouble of trying to sell it or trying to get it traded in.

nice list. just curious, how many miles are on your car? is there a point where, there are simply too many miles on the motor to put a turbo kit on it?

FYI Dan has an AMAZING turbo set up I was in awe the 5 times I saw it in one day. His Install is so sexy I could make love to the hood of his car Plus his Setup will Destroy mine but he paid the same amount just for his turbo kit (+/- $1000) then I will for my whole set up Listed here.

As for Tuning I am trying to learn as much as I can and I am getting help from people on the forum with Tuning the Kit and I know I am going to Harass Dan when the time comes to me needing some serious Tuning help

P.S. A Forum member named Grouch also has a GReddy Turbo on his 8 but he has still yet to join www.BCRX8.ca

I have an 04 RX-8 with 60k KM on it which Translates to 37282 miles.

Personally I don't feel there is really a mileage point where you can or can't put FI on your RX8. But if your engines on its way out then regardless of what you do to your car it is on its way out. Getting a compression test on your car always gives you a week of true peace of mind on how your car is running. Which Reminds me Dano you got a PM

Everything in the "Engine Modifications" and "Interior/Gauges/Sensors" Section will be bought at once and installed in order. The last section I will do bit by bit as the money slowly comes in.

Be sure to budget for a lot of misc parts. Stupid stuff like hose clamps, nuts, screws, bolts, zip ties, fluids, heat wrap, ect etc...It all adds up VERY quickly and can just as quickly ruin your budget and thus your build.
