Question Hey guys I'm new here

Hey guys and girls, I'm very new to the RX-8 and the rotary engine. So bare with me.I recently just purchased a 2005 Black 8 AT.For you drivers who ask why I got AT, I had a BMW 330 Ci in MT and I just wanted to try something new, but I do appreciate the MT on the 8.anyway my question is I just put a Greddy SP2 Cat back on and I'm looking for an excellent cold air intake system also with a loud excellent sound for my RX-8! I did do a search, but I didn't really get what I was looking for..So my question to all you drivers is:

Which is a better cold air intake system?

AEM cold air intake VS BLITZ SUS cold air intake system? better performance and sound between the two...

*not that any of you guys would give me bad information, but please don't be biased on an intake, just your honest opinions and different data if avaiable! thank you guys I appreciate it!!! 8 drivers

dont' look for gains on the intake, if you did do a search then you would notice that we didn't get that much in gains from CAI. I have the HKS racing suction. pulls a bit harder in the uper RPM range and sounds really mean. heres a link my intake and what it sounds like.

well my reccomendation is the new simota/umnitza CF one. there is a thread lower in here about it they have just released a new version that fixed the problems with the bad batch. i have one of the first sold and i've never had a problem with it. i love everything about it. it is definately an awesome sound and look all. feels quite a bit better to (might just be sound) i love it personally and the best part for a few weeeks it will be on sale for like 150 on their website (normally like 300+) but thats my $.02 heres a video from there website it is pretty much right on with it

right click and save for video

also there website is www.umnitza.com

and also there is a filter test i posted on here somewhere and the blitz filter sux i'll look for it

here it is

and no the apexi is not avail for us. you can buy filter but would have to fab up something to make it work. i had an aem on my last car and loved it so AEM(not so pretty) vs. BLitz(crappy filter) i say go with AEM they sound awesome and seem to perform descently. and hey its looks great with hood closed. another good intake seems to be the REVi from Racing beat but seems to be very quiet with lil to no gain (but most intakes don;t show much on dyno) ok well those are some thoughts and options

AEm has gotten good reviews. Also look at the Racing Beat unit with the Ram Air Duct.

might want to add a hi-flow cat. That has shown some good gains on our cars.
