help upgrading the '04

Well I've looked and read for hours through the forums looking for my answers, but with hundreds of pages, and thousands of post, I'm just going to ask for help based on my wants.

I want to throw on a few street legal upgrades on my '04 rx8. I'm looking to spend only about $2000, maybe $3000, and I want the most bang (sound,hp, and stability) for my buck.

Things I know I want:
Exhaust: theres a great thread about exhausts, I'm pretty good on this, if you want to add your opinions on this I welcome them, but we'll assume I'm going to drop about $900 on this upgrade.

Sway bar: opinions, and if possible links, needed here. assumingup to $350 here.

after those two, its up to your ideas.
I don't want to do a cold air intake, I'm going to drop a K&N in and be done with that.

I'm looking forward to and appreciate all the input.

best bang for buck: BHR ignition (blackhaloracing.com), oil cooler screens (often overlooked, yet very important. Cooling is one of the weakest points in this car. protect it!! racingbeat.com).
A really good upgrade is the Cobb AccessPORT. It is sold exclusively through a member on these forums (MazdaManiac). Please, read up all you can on that and all other upgrades.
