Hey everyone I'm new to the forum and i have about $2000 to spend on my 8. I mainly want to get performance parts over good looks. I definatly want the k&n typhoon intake, but what else? Thanks everyone!

 

also if anyone has a mazda rx8 website that has any performance parts on it that would be great

 

If you go to the top of the forums list, there are about 10-12 subforums for Rx8 vendors. I would spend a few hours searching and reading similar "bang for your buck" threads. There are hundreds. You will probably find quickly that there are 2-3 pretty sweet upgrades and then pretty much everything else is very slight.

If I bought a stock Rx-8 today, I would probably order:
1. An accessport
2. A sohn omp adapter
3. A mazmart water pump
4. wheels and tires

The AP can make you some more power but it can also increase your oil injection which is good for a S1 car. 2/3 are just oil/cooling mods to take care of the engine. Wheels are sexy and tires on a car that handles like an Rx8 can be a phenomenal upgrade.

+1 typhoon is so annoying i rocked it for like 2 weeks when i had a broken piece in my oem box got it was so buzzy

 

outside of running a straight pipe with no muffler it is the loudest thing you can do to your car

 

i dont even like the aem im stuck with right now because someone never returned my stock one aem intake on a stock 8 is stupid loud too
