I've been really looking into getting at least the cat back setup from exoticspeed but i'm not sure what else to get. I've watched youtube videos but they dont go into what else they have installed in addition to the cat back setup.
I'm just curious what you are running on your car. I'm more than likely keeping a catalytic converter underneath the car of some sort...but do I spring for the resonated mid-pipe too?
These videos i've seen with people running the Exoticspeed setup sounds so damn sexy. I want my 8 to sound the same!

Thanks for your time!

Brian

All comes down to what you want, really. I'm pretty sure Exoticspeed makes a hi-flow cat that they advertise along with their exhausts. If you want a little bit more of a pull, you could swap your cat with a midpipe - I wouldn't go with the Exoticspeed midpipe, though; if I remember correctly it's pretty expensive at around $600; you could get a much nicer midpipe (such as the soon-to-be-released BHR dual resonated) for much less.

Plenty of people just hook up the R1-T with the stock cat and there's really no reason not to; it's legal and it sounds great. Midpipe sounds great too, but the R1-T is already a pretty loud exhausts, and most midpipes are known to make loud exhausts even louder. I'd get a dual-resonated if anything to ensure that you'll not only maintain the quality sound that you're paying for with the R1-T, but also the volume that'll keep you safe from the law.

Good luck with the purchase. The full titanium tips and mufflers are pretty appealing, and the sound isn't half bad either.

Thanks for your input! I was thinking just hooking up the cat-back and calling it good but I didn't know if that was enough.

Thanks again

I have the R1-T catback...it sounded nice with a decatted stock resonater pipe. I took it off though because i bought the dual resonated pipe from agency power. I have some rattling issues but not sure if others have this problem. Exoticspeed was nice enough to send me a new intermediate pipe to fix the problems so ive had good experience with them

Question, would you guys say the R1t is louder than the RB Exhaust? I have been trying to watch a few Youtube vids to gauge the sound but they almost sound similar. My biggest concern is cabin noise. I really dont want the cabin noise to increase much over stock. I plan on keeping my cat.

BHR pipe is not dual resonated.

Go check out the BHR midpipe demos... their single is quieter than every dual I've seen.
