what i hear running catless = 10-13 mpg = louder = more cops $$$$ = CEL = more smoke

swapping for a midpipe & catless = 14-16 mpg = CEL = more smoke = smell from exhaust

But if you have a COBB AP , you can control the some things but not all...

Yeah some of those figures smell like they came out of someones **** cavity...

A gutted catpipe isn't as loud as a midpipe, even a resonated one.

The huge cat cavity knocks the sound down quite a bit.

I have both and there is a big difference.

(The odor is only an issue when the car is stationary, and that has an easy fix!)

i honestly didnt hear much of a difference on my midpipe, i have the turboxs single resonated midpipe and at start up that thing is as quiet as stock, the only time you really hear it is at 4k rpms cus of the rasp, other than that i honestly think its as quiet as the stock cat

if your car doesn't have more than 80,000 miles on it , MAZDA MUST replace it for free BY LAW ...

Mazda here in Hrvatska doesn't warrant anything after the 3 year warranty expires, not the cat, clutch bracket or motor failure, nothing.
And,my cat had nothing inside at 55,000 kilometers,it was empty and passed smog test the first time but not this year.

I run ap dual res mid pipe and cat back and I am happy/will be happier with a cobb to adjust a couple things but I am much happier with the aftermarket solution.

Awsome! As long as I'm not alone on this! I'm new to this but I heard the cat is pointless any way plus the 8 can breath better w/o the cat!

Punishing the kitty-cat for failing.

not sure how to quote but you said "if your car doesn't have more than 80,000 miles on it , MAZDA MUST replace it for free BY LAW ..."
I went to Ricart ( Columbus, OH) and they told me that they wouldn't replace it because the coils caused it to go bad so i ended up gutting it. If you search for DIY gutting your cat or whatever i have a video of what my gutted cat sounds like with stock everything else. A little bit lower sound but i like it. Eh here is link to the vid.
