I have an 06 Rx-8 I bought brand new in Nov 06 and am just now gettin around to the modifications but to be completely honest I know NOTHING about cars and figured this is gonna be a great place to learn. However I have an aftermarket groundwire kit that has been laying in my room for almost a year now and no matter how much i search, i cant figure out the complete instructions for installing. I checked the DIY forum and found where they go, but heres my problem... I follow the original ground wire from the battery to where its grounded, however the ground wire splits and has another wire running from it and disappears and i have no clue where it goes or what its importance is and I dont want to mess anything up. Like i said, i know nothing about cars and am ready to learn. So if anyone can help me out that would be great. Thanks ~Bugsie

which grounding kit do you have?

I honestly dont know. My brother got it for me. It has the big copper head on it with 7 wires coming from it, gauged much bigger than the standard ground wire in the car

did it come with a grounding circle? if so do you plan on using the grounding circle or simply connecting one after another like the OEM grounding? It doesn't matter where you ground so much as to grounding certain parts. like the intake manifold, alternator, frame, coils, etc.

From what i understand Lineage is one of the better ground wire kits? I believe mine is just a cheap kit b/c its a lot like this one. Clearly a ground wire kit isnt much of a mod, but i want to put it on anyways and once i get my main mods i want ill change the ground wire kit out for sure, but for now i'd like to at least put this on and learn more about the car.
