General Exhaust system inquiry

Ok, in a few weeks I’m going to be making a purchase and I really appreciate your honest opinions, I have never seen most of these exhausts in person, and I feel a lot of the exhausts benefits is lost over the internet. I’ve done plenty of searching but I want to compare all side beside in one place.

I like the following based on what I have heard over youtube

B&B (favourite)
Borla
HKS Legamax
Greddy SP2

what are your opinions? Noise? look? Price? why you didn't choose one over another?

O and I have the AEM CAI and an AUTHENTIC MS front bumper and sides.

Your comments are appreciated, I don't want to really have to buy 3 different exhausts to find the one I like.

Thanks again rx8club,

Best thing to do is really just drive out to someone that has them. I got lucky and fell into an area with a pretty good sized RX8 community. We have 3 Agency Power, a Borla, a Corksport, a Greddy, an HKS and we also had a Racing Beat for a while. When I was out at Midwest Mazdafest I got to hear a lot of Mazdaspeed as well. Personally I am really happy with my choice on AP...but to each is own really as I see it didn't even make your list. Here are my opinions of what I have heard.

Agency Power - Best described by others as "a finely tuned European automobile". It provided that deep full tone that I was looking for. Some friends have also called it loud, but compared to stock I can see where they are coming from. It also hangs pretty bad so your 4" tips will melt something as it isn't a dual-wall exhaust.
Borla - It is a really nice sounding exhaust. Tips stick out a little further than the others I have seen and it does drone on the highway if you are in certain RPM ranges.
Corksport - Very nice sounding exhaust. Sounds very similar to the AP exhaust, only drawback I would have with it is price compared to the AP.
Greddy - We are pretty sure it is an SP2 exhaust from what we can tell. I absolutely hate this exhaust. It has that nasty raspy ricer sound to it that I just can't stand.
HKS - Heard this at an autocross a couple weeks back for the first time. Loved the sound but it was only a single sided exhaust so it looks funky with the stock bumper. A MS rear might make it less noticeable though.
Mazdaspeed - Not much louder than stock. Almost no gain in volume it seemed and tone was about stock.
Racing Beat - Didn't like the exhaust as it sounded pretty ricey when you got on it. While sitting idle it was nice and under gentle acceleration it was ok.

awesome help devilboi, yea I definately want to avoid the rice sound that makes me go crazy, the reason I don't have agency power is truly because I know nothing about it! I gotta do some reseach on it. I think we share some of the same tastes. as for HKS hi-power I wouldn't do it for the reason you mentioned above I find it isn't balanced and doesn't suit our car.
