I can see this as being a good base to make your own dual resonated midpipe

a midpipe for $125? I'll pass.

cfm251 by the time you custom fab 2 res. on there you're approaching the AP DR MP price; better off just going with the real thing

LOL thats why I got the B&B midpipe, Its not something I can do, but if someone has the skill and the resources...and better resonators it can be pulled off for less than the $300 dollar price heck ive had a resonator welded to quiet my exhaust for $60 part and labor.

Well, I haven't seen anyone really complain about the header or exhaust..... and this is just a pipe with flanges.... the header is WAAAY more intricate than this... I think this is gonna be a good alternative.

That type of thing won't work. I tried a similar thing on my RX8 but it never worked.
Thw OBX header fitment is not major so long as you know what it is and can correct it before trying to mount it on the engine.

I love the way everyone hates on OBX yet everyone I have talked too with the catback has been extremly happy with it.

ye i been looking into the same mid pipe. for $150.00 shipped is not bad at all. looks like it has decent welds and looks pretty clean. i have to agree with 9krpmrx8 that everyone talks smack on obx products just because they are cheapper, but i have an obx catback and its not bad at all, much rather spend like $550.00 for a full catback and a midpipe than $1000 on a mazda speed catback and midpipe that will pretty much give you the same outcome. Now a days is all about the benjamines. deff would like to hear what the midpipe sounds like, if someone gets it before i do, post a sound clip or comment on it.... STOP THE HATE ON OBX PRODUCTS....THEY ARE JUST A MORE AFORDABLE WAYS TO UPGRADE AN 8. DAMN DONT COMENT IF NOTHING GOOD IS TO BE SAID ABOUT IT.....READ THE TITTLE OBX MIDPIPE, NO ONE WANTS TO HEAR YOUR OPINION IF ITS NOT PRODUCTIVE (O'Renesis ,Ross_Dawg)

i have it on my car, was just for fun got it for a little cheaper with haggling, it fits fine, sounds a bit raspy, only problem with it ive had was the origanal nuts on the rear came off, very loud when that happens,

i think the random weld on the pipe was ugly but it fit, no problems
