how does the revs feel? Does it feel likes it flows a lot better than oem or no difference?

It's tough to judge this. But honestly, I don't notice a whole lot of difference with the revs, but then again I wasn't expecting much either. Revs still feel as smooth as ever though (no 'choking' or hesitation), and that's the main thing I was looking for, besides sound. If I also get 2-3 hp out of the deal, I'll be happy.

I'm glad you said it gets louder as it get hotter, I thought I was going insane on the drive home yesterday. Yah there is nothing stealthy about this Exhaust IMO. I would say it's a CONSIDERABLE amount louder than OEM.

The only thing ive noticed is that it feels a little different inbetween shifts. This is a good thing. For instance, redlining in first and shifting into second with all out acceleration in second does seem to pull alot stronger to me than before. This could just be psychological of course. I like to think there is a difference lol. At least she feels like she is breathing better.

Hm.... I didn't notice any difference at all, it actually feels like I may have lost something down low below 4k. I havn't reset the PCM so I will probably do that tonight and see if that does anything.

Yikes! I hope that's not the case!

Btw, can anyone verify if a PCM reset is necessary? I didn't think the computer affected this at all.

I dont know. I never reset mine. I definately dont feel like I lost anything below 4k. The difference between shifts may not be moumental but I just took it out and it definately responds better during high rpm shifts. Dont get me wrong, im not saying the exhaust netted gobs of power. I wouldnt be surprised if there was very minimal or no gain at all as with most aftermarket systems, but response has definately improved with my system. Thank you mazdaspeed

I still have the stock cat, and I'd planned on trying to get a video clip of it this weekend. I'd just be using my hand-cam, so I'm not sure what the quality of the sound will be like. It'll be great if you can get a clip of the MS exhaust with the testpipe!

I would appreciate any additional MS speed exhaust clips. The more the better.

I know these aren't sound clips, but I only had a few minutes here so I'm posting a couple shots of the exhaust. Hopefully I'll be able to get a sound clip shortly. Still loving this thing.

you should clean the tips regularly so the soot doesn't harden up. They will be a hard to clean off it it does. I'm pretty **** in keeping the tip clean lol

looks nice!

Thanks!

You saw the dirty tips, huh? LOL They got dirty pretty fast! I agree about keeping them clean regularly though. I guess stainless steel cleaner would be a good choice for hard-to-clean soot?

A lot of people have been selling these. Apparently they sound great when you hit it, but they drone like a bitch on the highway.

Hey Olorin, is there any truth to what ZoomZoom said about it droning like a bitch on the freeway. My buddy has a '05 V6 Mustang with dual flowmasters and that thing drones like a bitch on the freeway. Don't suppose you have any familiarity with that kind of drone but anyways, whats the MS unit do on the freeway?

Holy hell! 2 flowmasters? Holy ****... that should be illegal. One of my friends has a flowmaster on his Land Cruiser and it drones like a mother on the highway. But, 2! Good grief! There's no way the MS drones as bad as that thing does.

NevrDull works. I just recently purchased the English Chrome Polish and that stuff definetly get rids of the bronzing.

I've only heard one person saying it drones, and I don't think he's even that sure it does.

The other person selling it wasn't because of drone he commented that he loved the way it sounded but misses jones didn't.

Can anyone rate how loud these are opposed to other systems you have heard? At 1st I heard they were a little louder then RB but not as loud as others after hearing some reviews I’m starting to worry. How does it sound next to RB or Hymmes. I too have one on order and have a Mrs. at home. I also don't want to sound like some kid in a Honda; I'm looking for something which looks better and sound deeper but not loud enough to get the man in blue's attention.

In my experience with it (and most others who have posted here), this exhaust is almost as quiet as stock on the highway. That is, unless your in 3rd gear, doing 70. But when you're cruising, it's very quiet. It's only when you really hit the throttle hard that it roars (and it's nice, deep sound). The best thing is that you can control how loud it is. I think 'RX8 Zoom Zoom' may have seen one post of a guy selling his MS exhaust, and like I mentioned in that thread, he didn't really seem like he liked anything but a quiet stock exhaust anyway.

Search around on all the posts so far about this system... you'll see that there are many others who like it.

P.S. It also passed the girlfriend test. I didn't tell her about it at first because I wanted to see if she noticed. I drove normally at first and she didn't say a thing. Of course when I got on the gas a bit more, she did ask me if I'd done something to it.

Not trying to hi-jack the thread but, anyone have a chance to dyno their car with one of these exhausts yet? I would like to have one but I would also like to know if it will cause a loss of hp. I have seen one aftermarket catback system cause the car to lose a few hp so I would like to purchase the ones where I have seen before and after dyno results. I'm not worried about it gaining much but I do not want to lose any either.
