I don't get it...is there a particular reason all of the aftermarket intakes and exhaust released so far for the RX-8 all are tuned for a lower bassy sound??? Can't say I really care for that sound, it sounds way too close to your average Civic fart cannon. I haven't heard a single aftermarket intake or exhaust that really fits the rotary's high revving nature, all of them seem to just give the RX-8 a typical Civic + cheap exhaust's low pitched "BROOM BROOOOOM" sound. Ugh. Make something that gives the RX-8 a nice, high pitched "WAP WAAAAAAAAAP!!!!" exotic scream and I'd buy it.

Mazdaspeed exhaust sounds exotic....

Man heard those sound clips and i have to say the sound is sexy!
Sounds like a Ferrari 328..... whoever posted the clips ,that was awesome......

Not to loud and not to soft.....just right......hey is there any droning from the mazdaspeed exhaust at highway speed?

Edmonds did a review on a RX-8 that was outfitted with Mazdaspeed parts , and they mentioned the exhaust gave them no power increase, just sound. Can anybody verify this with theres?

Correct, there is little to no increase in a catback exhaust replacement. Replacing the muffler on this car is for changing the sound of the car. Or if your into hard core racing, to reduce weight.

plus that article was written a year or so back with the older ms exhaust on. The new one has a bit larger piping I believe. You can get power by replacing your exhaust but at the cost of making it a lot louder than you want to be.

yea video clips are pretty bad in getting the real sound out. I personally heard a few other exhausts in real life and the clips really doesn't do it justice.

My hymee makes the RX8 sound similar to a 3rd gen v6 eclipse but a bit deeper when driving normal. If you crank it up to 8000rpm's is sounds more like a lemans series car.

I made the clip. I may be 240 pounds, but im hardly living the life of excess. Muscle weighs more than fat my friend. The Dunkin Donuts in the backround is pure coincidence. It was supposed to be a meet, and no one else showed up due to rain.

LOL, sound clips are essentially useless, I especially love the ones where you here all the clicking and banging from the camera being moved around or people saying stupid sh-t in the background

wow, this ones going a little overboard isnt it? Your profile says your around 26, arnt you a little old for this ridiculous kind of talk? The first time comment was enough and I tried to find the humor, even though it had nothing to do with the topic. Now your just being offensive and there are other members on this board im sure you're offending as you can see. Maybe you should grow up a littl...or alot.

Back on topic, I admit sound clips are somewhat useless but they do provide a rough idea on what the exhaust should sound like. AT least you know it isnt high pitched and doesnt backfire.

Agreed. A bit overboard, actually I was impressed that you didn't say nothing during the first post.

and you're saying this because?

This exhaust sounds and kind of looks like the Borla. Other than the dual mufflers.
