Exoticspeed Mazda RX-8 Twin Turbo Kit?
Actually, I don't understand what possessed them to even do a twin turbo. Mazda had a bitch of a time perfecting twin turbo in the RX-7. Just the complexity alone would make an erection soft. Maybe those dudes know some secret. Even if they get it right, it will damn sure cost you, though they may get some huge top end out of it.
You have to give respect to MM for doing his homework with properly sizing the turbo he has in the Greddy upgrade kit.
That is the only way I can see somebody doing better. Put together a kit with a properly sized turbo that could beat MM on the low end and high end. That damn sure will take a lot of homework if even possible.

Harry Im going to need one of these, the big ones; no make it two and Harry, im going to need them by tonight...
edit: Exoticspeed seems like they have been putting out decent products (though I am yet to try) and I am extremely interested to see if this kit ever sees the light of day. If it makes the same gains as other kits with added complexity and thus much higher price, it would be pointless from a marketing perspective. I'd like to see where they're headed with this and hope its not just for those who want to say "I HAVE A TWIN TURBO RX8" but will rather offer something new to the table...

Would two turbo's possibly help to improve flow in the higher revvs to reach a peak hp at a higher rpm than the other turbo kits? Maybe maintain the 9200 shift point?
BTW: The Bugatti Veyron has a W16 Volkswagen made engine with quad turbos

In a parallel turbo setup, two smaller turbos would be used to increase the responsiveness of the turbos, in other words decreasing turbo lag. In general two smaller turbos have less lag, than one larger turbo that has same flow characteristics as the two smaller ones.
Twin turbos also makes some sense in a V-Engine from an exhaust plumbing perspective.
From the picture shown it's hard to imagine this is for anything except bragging rights.

this is obviously just a show car. not even a dyno queen. they want to do it so they can show that they have the knowhow to get it done.
A) that placement would be too much of a pain to get to work, and I cant see it being very power efficient. Too many bends in pipes.
B) the turbos, as many people have pointed out, are exactly the same size. thats the goal, push two turbos to max out at 5K?
C) who the hells gonna spend twice as much money at least to do this, when you get moore than enough power for half the price? You wont see very many of these.

nah, just make a similar manifold. where your middle runner feeds both. Actually, if you could have the middle runner feed a very small turbo then the main exhaust ports feed into the larger turbo. Kinda have a sequential feed? Interesting...
lol, i was thinking the same thing on my way to work tonight... after getting slammed for my thoughts on the stock upper intake manni....lol
