I have a Greddy SP2 with over 70,000 miles on it and still like it. You need to clean the tips weekly or they will turn gold. As for the warranty the dealer whould have to prove the SP2 caused the problem. That doesn't mean a crappy dealer wouldn't try to deny work because of a SP2. But it would be hard to prove your A/C issue was caused by an exhaust.

from what i've heard, most dealerships won't care if you have an exhaust or intake.

Read about the "magnusson moss act." It says that the dealership cannot void your warranty because of an aftermarket part unless they have proof that the part caused something to happen to your car.

If you get an exhaust, should you get a cold air intake?

An Intake is basically just foir sound and looks to dress up your engine. They won't really add that much horsepower, problably 2-3 hp. I would get the Mazdaspeed intake because it is under warranty by Mazda. Also, if the intake causes a the car to die, I think your warranty cannot be voided because it is covred by Mazda. Also, the AEM intake is the same as the Mazdaspeed, but it isn't covered by Mazda. Here is a link for info about all the intakes.
