A Greddy SP2 + a midpipe will give all the noise you desire, plus large tips. As for the turbo read as many threads here you can, try to also find locals that might have one also.

For the midpipe, I would wait and see what Racing Beat and BHR's midpipes look like. I wouldn't go with a highlow cat because (in my research only) they don't last very long. But, would be a good option if you live in a place with strict emissions laws.
I think Dual resonated is the way to go... but this is more a matter of opinion.

As for the exhaust. I have heard Borla, Racing Beat REV8, and AP in person. I think the AP sounds the best. I researched (heard somewhere) that the exotic speed was modeled off of the AP design... so I'd go with the original.

The RB catback has 3in stainless tips, and the AP has 4in titanium tips, as does the exoticspeed. Idk about the Borla.

but I don't really want to get CEL cuz of the midpipe. Is there any way to get the CEL off with the midpipe?
new oxygen sensor and housing??
am i correct??

Very few have had success with o2 sensor spacers or fowlers which eliminate the CEL.... but really, I don't think its too bad to drive around with a check engine light. I always just get my codes pulled when I am autozone, (which is at least once every two weeks) to make sure nothing is lurking behind my CEL.

But yea. COBB is really the only way to do it for sure.

for the largest sound go for a catless midpipe and exhaust system that is at least 3" internal diameter.

Well, this is true... that will be the loudest, but its also the sound that you want. Do you want a deep tone or a quiet under 4k rpm then loud above? Etc.

The problem with straight "race" pipes is that it becomes raspy, which I think we can agree doesn't sound nice at all.

I think if you were able to decide the kind of sound you're looking for, we could be more helpful in your decision.

yes, i would like to have deep tone under 4k then louder as the rpm reaches the redline.

I would say agency power, borla, or magnaflow catbacks have a good deep sound (in my research and personal opinion)
I'm sure the exoticspeed does too, but I haven't heard it live yet.

but more important will be the midpipe... Def. go with a dual resonated pipe for a deeper tone... the larger the resonators the better, (not always, but a good general rule)

Do a lot of research on youtube and try to hear other exhaust set-ups in person before making your final decision.

Not necessarily...
Its not the size of the resonator, but rather the length calculated be the desired pressure wave to be eliminated called destructive interference.
A wave at its maximum pressure meets another at its lowest and basically cancels each other out.
So the construction of the pipe is important, not the size itself.
(yes, I was very basic on my explanation. I can go further into explaining if needed)

so what is the best exhaust for me??
exhaust with largest tip + the low but loud sound when the rpm reaches max.

Best exhaust for you is the one YOU like. The one that puts a smile on YOUR face.
Everyone has their own opinion on loudness, tone, appearance and which combination works best.
Best advise I can give, find other RX8s near you with different setups and listen to them live.

False. Racing Beat is by far the best there is, and ever will be.

And in response to the harmonics of a resonator, I agree with you about the sound cancellation properties and how those tones may be changed, but really, the larger the resonator the deeper the tone is a good general rule. I site the case of the Tuba vs. the Trumpet... size matters. (very over simplified, but you see what I am saying as a more general rule.)

False - Mazsport dual resonated midpipe = not raspy at all. I've heard the AP dual res and some others... in my opinion, the mazsport is the only one that has successfully eliminated the raspyness... but you can't fit your tunnel braces back on with it... so its a trade off if you think the tunnel braces make a huge difference. The racing beat midpipe and BHR midpipe should be some very high quality products also.

The racing beat tips are 3 inch stainless... all available through searching also.

There might be a used one coming up for sale very soon. . . . . .

I have a Greddy SP2 with the ExoticSpeed Race Pipe, and its very nice! I have a intlal thread with some video's. I'm going to be doing a few hours worth of highway driving, i can try and take some vids. But every exhaust sounds different in person.

And I can fit my fist in my Greddy Tips. They are a little over 4in in diameter.
