Exhaust or flywheel?

I know neither of these mods will really do me a whole lot of good but just curious. HKS Hi-power exhaust (loved by some, hated by others) or the ACT Prolite flywheel? The flywheel is about $200 cheaper than the exhaust, but I don't have the tools (or knowledge for the flywheel) to install either. If anyone knows the cost to install and effectiveness of these mods it'd be much appreciated.

neither will give you much gain.

I was thinking about selling off my prolite and hd clutch, but i'm not sure anyone would want to buy used hardware like that, even though there's only 4k miles on it.

The exhaust will ad that zoom-zoom sound and the flywheel will make the car rev faster . The exhaust you can do your self in about 2 hours . The flywheel you will need to have someone in stall the flywheel and at the same time you should change your tans fluid . So $400 to $500 to have both done is a good price .

I've heard the stock clutch will handle about 350 whp. Is that true or just hear-say? And how much would you sell the flywheel/clutch for? Can't buy it anytime soon; I just paid my car off for the month and have $9.47 in the bank right now lol. But used hardware can't be that bad. Wasn't it you that bought a used GReddy kit?

He's gone through how many exhausts and BOV's? Maybe he's going to start posting vids of him experimenting with different clutches and flywheels

Get the exhaust, then when you have 60k on the car replace the clutch and flywheel.

I guess I'll get the exhaust. I'm making a little more money now so I might actually be able to get it (that and I don't have to pay for that lame 1st year of college). In a couple days I'm gonna buy ChrisM's veilside shift ****, and that's got to good for at least 5 horsepower right? lol

I absolutely love lightweight flywheels. They are a very noticable change to the way the car drives and accelerates. That would be my preference. I even installed an 8.5 lb flywheel in my daily driver Honda and no I'm not a ricer.

Yeah I've heard BHR is in testing for a cat-back. And no I won't bug you for an ETA since if you knew you'd probably post it lol. I like the HKS Hi-power since you're going to get no more than ~3 horsepower off a cat-back anyway so why pay $600+ when you can have it for $450? My cat is stock (with the exception of a melted plastic bag stuck to it ) so I don't expect it'll be ridiculously loud. But like I said I'm broke so I won't be purchasing an exhaust or flywheel for a while. Hopefully you'll be in the market when I'm ready

Yeah every transmission has a flywheel. You could change it but idk what the auto flywheel weighs or if they make upgrades for it.

the auto does not have a flywheel. it is a flex plate. the tq converter and ring gear attach to it.

I can get you that Hi-Power for $440, shipped, and I will be in the market for a LOOOOONG time as this is my full-time job now.

Wow looks like I just found my one-stop-shop

A flex plate is extremely light. It's basically only there because you need to spin something with the starter.

My bad. Always thought it was the clutch, pressure plate, flywheel, throw-out bearing, and the release lever, ball stud, and boot. Oh well. I learned something yesterday
