exhaust

my hks hi power doesnt seem as loud as the day it was installed.

my brother's exhaust sounds louder now. is this because i'm used to the sound of my own exhaust or is it because there could be a leak? anyone?

Could be either one...
Checking for leaks is simple, start the car and climb underneath and feel around the joints (make sure the pipes are cold).
You would think that a partially clogged cat would decrease the sound, but I personally have never had a clogged cat to know what the sound difference is.
But like Renesis SE3P said... you more than likely just got used to it.

Also, if you are checking for leaks, use the back side of your palm. It's more sensitive to feel air/leaks with it.

or it could be 'broken-in.' the note/tone of the exhaust will change from the sound it had when you first installed it.
