Drive shafts

Hey all you 8 owners. I have a Q I have a Ford Mustang and it has a titanium drive shaft.................... I have looked all over for one for my 8 but have had no luck. Do they make them for the 8 or is it something I have to have special made? They make them for the higher more muscle cars like my Mustang but had no luck for the other car.

the 8 is made out of carbon fiber, so why you need a heavier one???

Please be gentle here but yes I am one of the AT 8 owners. I tried to look on websites to see if it had the carbon fiber driveshaft as well but no info found. Keep in mind that here in Iraq our internet is slow like slower then dial up. I cannot wait to get back to Cali and drive it.

Thanks Dave, I should be home in a couple days. Funny thing is I am more scared of the plane home crashing then getting shot out here. So when I get back I guess I will be going to the dealer to see about getting the lighter carbon one put in.

I bought my 8 a couple months after I got back in 2004.

What branch you in? I was at Al Taqaddum, across the road from Habbaniyah, from 5/2004 to 10/2004. My buddy is over there for his second tour, dumbass volunteered to go over again . It was perty quiet when we were over there for the first time, accept when they mortared our ASP, and it cooked off for a day and a half that was cool. He said that it is a lot worse this time, but couldn't say where he was.

Anyway back to the car, it kicks ***

Well I am a corpsman with the Marines and I was in Al Asad and TQ, Year it was scarey but oh by the way I am back now everyone. Its good to be back and breath the smoggy Cali air but I hear that I may go back out in a month or so. Yeah sucks to be me but I love the money.

People think that Marines are nuts. Most Corpsman are. I was in Iraq in 91. A corpsman with one of the line platoons was with the plt. commander who was behind me. (I was an AT gunner with a CAAT section.) We started taking sniper fire. He ran about 50 meters to his men through the sniper fire. None of his men were hit, but he wanted to be with them in case. That took huge *****. There is a reason corpsmen have more Medal of Honors than any other MOS.

Glad to have you back in one peace. Simper Fi

Yes we are, we do it to show how more we are Marine then Navy. I got to admit I have done some pretty crazy things a few times. My Marines know that with me I am there every step of the way. I even have other units requesting that I go out with them. I love my Marines and I will be damned to hell before I let them go without me or do something and have me stay behind just because I am the Doc.

For those of you not in the military. A corpsman (medic in the army) is there with the grunts fighting but they only have a 9mm for personal protection and a big green bag. That is it. At least we get a real weapon. Good corpsman are a unique breed. They do not care about the fighting around them. Only their Marines. You love your Marines. Well, Marines love their Doc.
